These pictures were taken 2-24-02. The weather has been very nice, so working outdoors in PA was still possible.

First of all, here's an updated picture of the engine compartment. Not all that different than the last pictures, but with a few more details done, like the power steering reservoir and a battery.

Here is a close-up of the power steering reservoir finished in the correct black and with the decal. Note the correct squarish cap to hold the lid on. This reservoir had a filter element inside it, unlike my Firedome.

I bought 2 replica batteries, one for each DeSoto. This is the Fireflite's, in my home-made bracket.

I had a chance to finish the REAR door panels. They came out every bit as nice as the front ones. I also made the dogleg-shaped upholstery that fits on either side of the rear seat, but haven't painted the vinyl yet.

As you can see from these next pictures, the bodywork is still progressing. I sprayed the left rear quarter panel with the Dove Gray, and have much of the rest of the car in primer (mostly the right side, since I can work more readily there, next to my garage). The left side still needs tons of chips filled.

KEEP WATCHING FOR FUTURE UPDATES!!!
