This is the biography of Paolo "P-Slice" Peņala, also known as the emcee called "Intro". Paolo was born in Manila Phillippines on November 11th 1986. He migrated to the U.S. when he was 2 years old. He picked up his first instrument when he recived a guitar for his 4th birthday. He wasn't very good at that guitar but he loved it anyway. He was then enrolled in St. Peters's Catholic Grade School when he was 5. As he grew up at St. Peter's he always loved watching the school band playing music. With great interest in music he begged his parents to let him play in the school band. His parents finally gave in and bought him a saxophone. There in the school band he learned how to play music for real. His music teacher Mr. Ken Hammond was a great influence on him. He loved to stay after band practice and talk music with his teacher. With his musical talent flourishing he started to teach himself the piano. He learned quickly and became good at it. During the 6th grade he began writting songs. He started making rap songs with his long time friend Peter Biava also known as DJ Venom. Along with his friend Peter, Paolo and his other friends Shawn, Mike, and Mike K formed a band called Black Magic. Although Black Magic bever had any real practices they wrote and wrote and wrote many songs. This is where the orgin of the emcee name "Intro" came about. Most of the songs the band wrote Paolo would always go first and have the first verse. They then noticed that in all of the songs he went first thus earning the emcee name "Intro". The were able to fill up two notebooks of songs. Most of the songs were a collaboration between Paolo and Peter. Was it the next Lennon and McCartney? Unfortunatly Black Magic split up before they could record anything. During this time of intense songwritting with the band Paolo got into making beats. He started fooling around with his keyboard by puting a drum beat in and making a melody. This is where he got into producing. Around Christmas he got a Yamaha acoustic guitar for a present. He taught himself how to play and got very good very fast. He eventually bout and electric guitar a Bradley "Strat" which he still uses today. After the breakup of Black Magic, Intro and DJ Venom stuck together and formed the 3B's with another Mike. The three of them would just freestlye whenever they could, they weren't really into writting and recording. Unfortunatly all three of these Bee's would go to different high schools and had to split. Now Intro had to face going solo. He began working on his first solo EP of Drum N Bass that he had mixed and produced himself. This EP was to be called Psychedellic Seizure. During the production of this album a good friend of his Matty Mainen was beginning a rap career. Matty also starting his own label asked him to join him in Feldman Records to be an artist and to produce. This was and offer he couldn't turn down. He decided to release Psychedellic Seizure under the label. With his hard work Psychedellic Seizure was released on December 6th 2001. The EP sold out two days in a row. And it sold a total of 35 copies. In the spring of 2002 he decided to create Type R Entertainment and subsidiary to the label Feldman Records. He began building The Slice Studios in the summer of 2002 and finsished the first phase in early July. Now he has called upon Peter again for a reunion on a new album. Also he has been working on a trance album both due out winter 2002. His hard work has brought him to the number 1 and 2 spots on mp3.com in Olney. Now who knows what the future holds for the emcee called Intro...
