The second console by Sony is also backwards compatable, allowing for you to play all your old Playstation games. It is known to be a Multimedia games console, that lets you watch DVD aswell as play games, and is currently ruling the roost of the video game market.
Sega Games Heading For This Console
Virtua Fighter 4 - AM2
The legendary Virtua Fighter series look set to continue on to PS2, but with news on a possible Dreamcast version. There are three new characters and its likey to be the best of the Vitua Fighter series, and will need to be when it faces off with Tekken 4. There is a preview just HERE
New Space Channel 5 - United Game Artists
Ulala will be dancing on PS2 but there is no news on this yet, and whether it will be a port of the Dreamcast version or sequel.
Crazy Taxi - Hitmaker
The first Sega game to be ported to another console, Crazy Taxi has been storming the PS2 charts, giving Sega the much deserved praise they unfairly lacked. This game seems to be heading for every single console! Expect a review soon.
HeadHunter - Azure Design
HeadHunter will be making its appearence on the Dreamcast this November, but it shall also be joining the PS2. No details on this just yet.
Zombie Revenge - AM3
A poor scrolling beat 'em up. This was one of the first games confirmed for the PS2, so where is it now?
Ecco The Dolphin - Defender Of The Future - Appaloosa
The Classic Dreamcast sequel to everyones favourite dolphin that first graced the Megadrive shall be ported over to the Playstation 2, although its not clear whether there will be any extra features.
18 Wheeler - AM2
A Crazy Taxi clone where you drive a big American truck. Not as fun as Crazy Taxi, but heading for the PS2 anyway. No info on the PS2 version yet.
REZ - United Game Artists
A strange music/shooting hybreed that is very similar to the Playstations Vib Ribbon. This one is also heading for the Dreamcast too, hopefully.
Sakura Wars Series - Overworks
The legendary Japaneze series will be continuing their saga on the PS2. No infomation on this yet.
Rumours
Shenmue 2 - AM2 With the Dreamcast version being released this December, the rest of the Shenmue saga will need to continue on another console, and AM2 seem to like Sony a lot. Phantasy Star Online Version 2 With PSO appearing on the GameCube and PC, its been roumoured that all consoles might be brought together in the online world of PSO. Skies Of Arcadia 2 - Overworks Its been pretty much confirmed that a Skies Of Arcadia sequel is on the way, yet with the Dreamcast practically dead in Japan, it makes sense to bring it to another console.
