Our team was formed in the winter of 2001 under ALITHSA (Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Soccer Association). We are coached by Nfor Gibson Tandup, from Cameroon. We played indoor at Intrasports in Gilberts and played in the NISL Bronze Division for the 2001 spring outdoor season. We also competed in the Spring Best Of the Midwest tournament held in St. Charles. We did not fare as well as we would have liked, but everyone on the team has trained hard in the off-season.

This training has showed. In the fall, each player worked with their high school team. Bob McCaughin and Carl Noel starred for Streamwood's Sophomore team, with Kevin Lipovitch and Jorge Napoles playing on Streamwood Varsity. Kyle Larson played up a year on Elk Grove's Sophomore team. Geoff Collingbourne, Dan Gilbert, Zach Mazur, Jonathon Presz, Ed Sarto, Dan Smith, Matthew Roser and Jeff Wall all played on Hampshire High's varsity team, which finished 13-7-1 with only 2 seniors on the team. Zach and Matthew each earned All-Conference honors.

Starting in October, each player came together and trained with Gibson until we were forced to move indoors to train. By the time the first game came around, we were ready to win. All the training has paid off as we have dominated every team we have come up against.
