Chapter Four
"Trunks..." Said Rini. He was laying at the edge of the pond, with one hand in the water. His head snapped around.
"Oh. Hi, Rini."
"You wanted to see me?"
"Yeah... I um," he paused. "I needed to talk to you."
"What about?" She said, as she sat down next to him.
"About this whole thing. Androids, my mother, you..."
"What about me?" She asked. Trunks’ eyes went wide. He looked at her nervously.
"I um, just think it’s kinda weird that you came from the future."
"And you don’t think It’s weird that you have seen yourself, as an older person, while you’re still here?" She asked, skeptical.
"I was only about a year old when I saw him for the first time. Now he’s back in the future." He corrected.
"Oh yeah..." She said. "Are you going to be okay?" She asked. He looked at her.
"Why?"
"You look like you have a lot on your mind right now."
"Yeah, I do."
"So, you’re gonna be okay, right?"
"Yeah. I’ll be fine."
"You wanted to talk to me about something?" She said, sitting down next to him.
"Well, I wanted to know what happens in the future."
"Okay... Umm..." Started Rini. Her face turned pink, to match her hair.
"Basically, it’s the same thing as with the first sets of androids. Only this time, Bulma, Eighteen, and Videl join the fight. Gohan is at Super Saiyan Level Two, Goten, Vegeta helps, along with Goku, Piccolo, Tien, and Krillin."
"What about Yamcha?"
"Him too."
"How about Chiaotzu?"
"Oh my gosh! I completely forgot! This is so cool! He gets in an accident, and it transforms him so he’s like, mass strong!"
"Wow."
"Yeah..."
"What about me?"
"You fight too."
"And... You?"
"I sit around at Kame’s place, with Mr. Popo, worried sick, while my husband fights the androids."
"Who’s your husband?" Rini looked nervous.
If I tell him we end up together, then he’ll catch wind of it, and if he does... Then little Cinch might not be born!
"Umm... Yamcha."
"Yamcha is your husband?"
"Yeah..."
"Oh..." Bummer! He thought.
"So, basically, in this situation, you’re like my mom during the fight with the other androids?" Rini looked puzzled.
"You know, like in the same situation. You stay with Mr. Popo, worried sick, with a baby..." Trunks paused. "Do you have a baby?" Rini’s eyes grew wide.
"Umm...... No." She said, lying.
"Oh."
The noise of rustling bushes filled Trunks and Rini’s ears. Both of them snapped to attention, and Rini drew her sword.
"Rini! You have to come home- Eep!" Spike paused when he saw Trunks and Rini ready to attack. He stopped and put his hands up into the air. The two relaxed and gave a sigh of relief.
"Spike, don’t ever do that again!" Yelled Rini. He looked at the ground. "Now, go home!" She said. He slowly walked through the trees to his home.
"That was a close one!" Said Trunks. When he turned around, he saw Rini in the water. She squirted water from her mouth at Trunks.
Rini giggled.
"Trunks, lighten up!" She said.
"Come on in!" She swam over to a large rock in the lake and sat on it.
"Fine." He flew up into the air and made a huge cannonball. The water completely soaked Rini more than she already was. When he surfaced, Rini splashed him with water and giggled.
"You need to take a joke once in a while!"
"I do everyday. My sister." The two started to laugh. When they settled, Rini flew out of the water.
"Do you hear that?" She asked. Trunks turned his head to the strange noise coming from the bushes.
"Spike, if that’s you, Dad will have your head on a silver platter!" She warned. The rustling went away.
"Spike. I knew it was him." She confirmed. "He’s such a snoop!"
"Are you sure it was him, and not a squirrel, or something?"
"It doesn’t take a genius to detect such a low power level like his. I know it was him."
"Okay."
"So... What do you want to do?" She asked.
"I don’t care. I guess you could go and help Spike train some more." Rini made a sour face.
"Ick! Why would I want to help him?"
"You promised him."
"I know, but he’s such a pain!" She whined.
