Description of Moves

- Stepping Around
- put weight onto right foot, begin to turn left palm to face floor and lower slightly, turn left foot in 45 degees
- as weight goes over left foot, let left arm float out to left ending palm up, right palm faces down and lowers slightly
- pick up right foot and place heel in a line directly behind left, and pointing to the back right corner from starting position
- as weight moves over the right foot, bring left palm straight through in a pushing motion with palm facing out, allow right hand also to move around to in front of body, turn left heel out 45 degrees
- Grasp the Peacock's Tail
- hands foat out, left palm faces up
- as weight goes onto back foot, draw hands back to left waist, form a small ball on the left (right hand on top)
- turn back on your front, wrist to wrist (right on outside)
- as weight goes forward, push hands up and forward
- turn both palms to face down, left wrist brushes over right wrist to eye gouging position
- as weight pulls back over left foot, pull hands back in, slightly to the left
- face forward and push up to chest height
- Single Whip
- drop palms at wrist, move weight onto back foot and lift right toe
- tilt hands, bring around to left as right foot lifts toe and turns to face front right corner (turn on heel)
- tilt hands other way, lift left foot slowly and balance
- bring hands around to right with left hand as mirror, and balancing on right foot place left foot directly in front of right facing the front left corner
- turn right around to face the left edge of the room, step up with the right foot and place in line with and parrallel to left foot, bringig right arm around to face body
- as weight goes back over the right foot, lift left palm at wrist and form right hand into a fist below left elbow, lift left foot and place on heel facing the left edge
- Repulse Monkey (left)
- flatten left palm, open right hand and float arm out to the right with palm facing up
- lift left foot and place left toe back and out 45 degrees from left edge, bring right palm to head, turn left palm up
- as weight goes over back left foot, push right palm forward as left hand is brought back, turn right foot on heel to face in front
- Repulse Monkey (right)
- flatten right palm, float left arm out to the left with palm facing up
- lift right foot and place right toe back and out 45 degrees from left edge, bring left palm to head, turn right palm up
- as weight goes over back right foot, push left palm forward as right hand is brought back, turn left foot on heel to face directly out in front of body
- Repulse Monkey (left)

- Throwing a Frisbee
- bring left arm up and over so palm is facing down, bring left hand back and under with palm facing up, balance on left foot
- place right heel directly out to side of left
- as weight goes over right foot, continue to turn on right heel till facing the front of the room, turn left heel back 45 degrees, bring right arm up in frisbee throwing action and left palm down in a lower block, turn head on side to face the left of the room
- Raise Hands
- bring up left foot to be heel to heel with right
- as weight goes over back left foot, lower right hand
- pick up hands, right hand out more, pick up right foot
- drop wrists with left palm protecting right inner elbow, place right foot on heel to face original front direction
- Shoulder Stroke
- slowly bring right hand in to guard dan tien, left hand more quickly out and over to block right shoulder, right foot in to balance then place out parallel to left foot
- White Crane Spreads its Wings
- turn and step-point out to left with left toe
- spread wings with right arm up and left down
- Left Brush Knee
- bring left arm up and out to neck level, right arm draws down till palm faces head at shoulder height
- bend left elbow to bring left hand to right shoulder, palm facing down, right arm straight out from right side, palm facing up
- as left hand strokes down right side, bring right palm towards ear, balancing on right foot, bring in left foot and step out with left foot, heel first
- as weight moves over left foot, brush left knee with left hand, push out in front with right palm at shoulder height
- Pick up the Rock
- as bring right toe up (to make 45 degree heel to heel with left foot), lower right hand
- as the weight moves back onto right foot, twist body to right bringing right arm up by the elbow
- lift up left foot and place just the toe out in front on the floor as whole body twists back to your front (but the left edge of the room)
- tilt right hand down at wrist (palm should be facing left)
- keeping weight on right foot, tilt body at hips to face down
- Spread Arms
- bending at hips only, push pelvis forward and this will bring the upper body up straight and the left knee will rise also
- bring hands up to face height and crossed over with the right hand on the outside and palms facing out
- move left foot out to the left a bit and place on heel
- as move weight forward onto left foot, bring right elbow back slightly (right hand should now be palm out and at brow height) and send left hand straight out , palm facing to your right
- Turn, Block and Punch
- as weight goes back over right foot, left hand comes in and right palm strokes down left side of body eventually to form a fist, left toe turns in to face N, then weight returns to left foot
- bring up right knee and right fist, place out to E, right toes pointig SE, as bringing right fist up and down to side, wrist up ready to punch and left palm should be at same height as right put palm facing out
- as weight moves forward onto right foot, turn left heel back 45 degrees to face NE, and push left palm forward
- as weight moves back, punch with right fist so wrist ends up facing down
- Step Up, Parry and Punch
- bring weight partially back on right foot, turn left foot out 45 degrees, slowly turn left wrist till palm faces right hand, bring right hand down to left wrist gradually forming a loose fist, put weight back over left foot
- lift hands and right knee, turn partly to your right, lower your hands to leave the right palm protecting the inner right elbow, lower your knee and place your heel out 45 degrees
- as weight goes over right foot, pull right fist back a little, "brush off dirt" pushing left palm straight out in front
- step with left foot
- as weight goes over left foot, half-twist punch out with right fist, leave left palm to guard right inner elbow
- Grasp the Peacock's Tail
- bring weight back on right foot, turning left toes out 45 degrees to point to NE, and beginning to bring hands down to hold ball on left side
- hold ball on left side with right hand on bottom and left on top
- shift weight to left foot
- step forward with right foot, hands coming up to form a T, weight ending up forward over right foot
- hands float out, left palm facing up
- as weight shifts back, draw hands back to hold a small ball on the left side
- wrist on wrist (right hand is on outside) face forward and push out with wrists to chest height as weight transfers onto front foot
- turn palms to face down then draw over wrist over wrisst till about eye gouging distance apart
- as weight comes back onto right foot, pull hands first back to chest and then down to waist
- palms facing out, as weight goes forward onto right foot, push out with hands
- Single Whip
- rock back onto left foot, lifting right toes and flattening hands
- tilt hands up to left slightly and move around in that direction turning the right toes in till they face N
- weight onto right foot, tilt hands the other way and move around to the right, lifting left foot slowly
- as hands come around to the right, right hand ends as a claw and left hand as a mirror, left foot is brought in and balanceing on right fot totally
- turn body to left, step out to W on heel of left foot, turn body more so foot is placed in the correct direction
- as weidht goes over the left foot, push left palm out and right heel back
- Cloud Hands
- bring weight back to right foot and turn left toes in to face N
- release claw and keep body turning to right
- bring right palm up as a mirror and left palm down ready to "skim the water"
- as weight transfers to left foot, bring hands around to left
- as hands swap over (right hand becomes mirror etc) bring in right foot and place next to left foot
- repeat last 3 steps twice more
- Single Whip
- as hands come around to the right on the last cloud hands move, right hand ends as a claw and left hand as a mirror, all weight transfers to right foot
- turn body to left, step out to W on heel of left foot, turn body more so foot is placed in the correct direction
- as weight goes over the left foot, push left palm out and right heel back
- Hide-pat the Horse
- weight transfers back onto right foot, release claw and tilt left palm so facing down, point left toe
- as step, or drag, left toe a little to the right, bring right palm into side of head turning left palm up
- as draw left toe in, draw left palm and brush over with right palm as it moves out
- Toe Kick to the Right
- bend knees and begin to circle hands in a wide clockwise movement till left palm (facing up) is where the right hand use to be and the right palm is prtecting the left inner elbow
- step out with left heel, continuing hands moving so that leftt hand is drawn in to side of body and right is pushed out to block from NW attack as weight transfers to left foot
- bring hands down and around as if tracing a hook, left hand moving fastest, and drawing right foot in and up with right hand...hands should end up crossed in front of face, palms facing in, with right hand on outside, and right foot should end up ready to kick
- as palms turn out and move to sides for balance, right toe kick
- as right heel is lowered to floor to be facing NW, right palm comes down and faces up
- as weight transfers over right foot, push left palm forward with body movement and then out in block to left (SW)
- Toe Kick to the Left
- bring hands down and around as if tracing a hook, right hand moving fastest, and drawing left foot in and up with left hand...hands should end up crossed in front of face, palms facing in, with left hand on outside, and left foot should end up ready to kick
- as palms turn out and move to sides for balance, left toe kick
- lower hands and lower foot to place on toe behind and slightly to the right
- swivel on toes to face E, bringing hands crossed down in front of the dan tien, palms facing in with left hand on outside
