[FSz] Luckily, he did. We immediately retreated to San Francisco, where he lived on a nexus of power. We decided to fortify the location and wait.
[Han] Were you successful?
[FSz] Yes, and no. The Red Sign was very complicated, so complicated that it required knowledge on the legendary 10th Sphere. Nicolas called it Judgement. I was unsure what to consider it, as it was completely theoretical. The Euthanatoi consider it the fabric of karma, the intangible force that pushes the Great Wheel onward for the universe as a whole. Perhaps it could be considered Judgement, after all.
[Han] Had your relationship with the asura improved?
[FSz] It was as it was. He was still resistant on the usefulness of the Red Sign. I was determined to bring it to fruition. However, the asura's personal problems continued to interrupt us.
[Han] What sort of personal problems could a demon have?
[FSz] A separation of his soul. A krys, the symbol of his responsibility to death, perhaps a psychic inability to reconcile his previous life and this current one.
[Han] So now, you want to help him?
[FSz] There were many connections to his symbol. Xuanciel mentioned that Mersy, or some woman that appeared to be Mersy, assists the assassin in his attacks and escapes. I believe her connection to this labyrinthian situation may shed some light on the true nature of things. That was my goal. If we could establish a connection, perhaps we could communicate with the woman...
