Alexis looked at the blonde, noticing the look of absolute shock on the woman's face. This was going to be fun.
"You're Luke's wife, since when?" Summer asked regaining her composure, somewhat anyway.
"This morning actually. It was all very sudden" Alexis replied smiling. It wasn't that she wanted to hurt Summer, she just didn't think it was healthy for Luke to spend so much time with his beloved wife's look-a-like. As long as she was temporarily playing the role of Luke's wife, Alexis figured she would help him get his priorities straight. Step one, more time with his daughter. Step two, less time with the prostitute.
"Alexis has a daughter and we're going to the hospital to get her. Then we are all going to live together, me and Daddy, Alexis and Kristina. Isn't that great?" Lulu asked.
"Um...yeah." The blonde replied looking at Alexis. She had never even heard Luke mention this woman and all of a sudden he was married to her? Something weird was going on.
"So you're the famous Summer?" Alexis asked while grabbing another fry.
"Luke's mentioned me to you?" She asked clearly surprised.
Alexis paused to consider the question. Most of what she knew about Summer was second hand or had been told to her by Luke as a client. As it turned out she didn't need to answer the question because at that moment Luke walked in. He spotted them right away, Alexis, Lulu, Summer; things did not bode well for him. Putting on a brave face he approached the table.
"Hi there ladies." He greeted with deceptive casualness.
Alexis would never know why she did it though she suspected it had a lot to do with the way Luke had thrown his arm around her at the hospital, in front of Cameron. She stood up, approached Luke and gave him a kiss right on the lips. It was their first since the awkward one during the wedding ceremony.
Luke didn't know what was going on but he liked it. He was soon taking the lead, deepening the kiss and then...just as quickly as she had started it Alexis ended the kiss pulling back from him with a smile.
"I missed you honey." She cooed in a voice that was far from her own.
Suddenly Luke remembered where he was and with whom. Summer was furious and Alexis was still smiling sweetly at him. If he lived to be a hundred he would never understand women.
"Natasha, um...wow!" Was all Luke could manage.
"Natasha, I thought your name was Alexis?"
"What, you're the only one who gets two names?" Alexis asked.
Summer looked even more upset than she had before. She couldn't believe Luke had told this woman so much about her. Then again he did marry her. And based on the kiss she had just witnessed there was definitely chemistry between the two.
"I um...really should get going." Summer said as she turned to leave. Alexis was going to point out she hadn't got anything to eat but decided against it.
"What was that?" Luke demanded as soon as Summer was gone.
"What was what?" Alexis asked innocently as she sat down and began picking at her fries.
"The kiss, you did that on purpose." Luke accused.
"Well I didn't trip and fall on your lips if that's what you mean."
"You know damn well what I mean."
"Daddy you shouldn't yell at Alexis."
"My own daughter, defending a Cassadine." Luke gasped in mock outrage.
"Oh shut up Luke." Alexis suggested mildly as she shoved a French fry into his mouth.
"I'm going to get you for this Alexis. And trust me when I say revenge will be sweet." He whispered in her ear as he helped himself to the rest of her fries.
Several minutes later they were finished eating and Alexis had given Luke the key to her apartment. Just then an ill wind blew into Kelly's and Luke lit up like a Christmas tree.
"Hello there Caroline, how are you?"
Carly looked suspiciously at Luke who was being far to friendly. Then she saw Alexis who looked decidedly nervous.
"Luke you better hurry if you want to do that thing." Alexis said as she gave him a shove towards the door.
"Patience, Alexis, patience. Caroline is my niece and we haven't spoken in so long... there's so much for us to fill each other in on."
"Luke please don't..."
"So Caroline, anything new and exciting in your life?" Luke asked.
"Not a thing Luke, how about you?" Carly replied deciding that going along would be easier than trying to figure out what was going on.
"Hmm, anything new or exciting in my life? Let me see..." He mused glancing in Alexis' direction and then laughing, she was actually holding her breath. "Can't think of a thing." He replied at last. "I really should be going." He continued as he walked towards the door. He opened it, took a step out and saw Alexis visibly relax, that's when he struck.
"Oh and Caroline," he called just before the door closed behind him, "play nice with your aunt Alexis."
