Chapter 2

Sonny had made a bowl of popcorn trying to convince himself that this was all just a coincidence; after all don't all kids like popcorn? Before long the popcorn was finished and his guest looked like she was about to fall asleep.

"Would you like to hear a story?" He asked wondering why Johnny hadn't returned yet. She nodded and he carried her to the sofa. Thankfully he still kept several toys and books at his place for when Michael came to visit. He held up a couple different books for her to chose from and she pointed to one immediately.

"Corduroy it is." Sonny began to read, with the little girl cuddled next to him. Before he could finish the story she was fast asleep. Sonny sat there watching her sleep. Her mother and father must be frantic he thought thinking about how he would feel if Michael went missing. It was odd that Johnny had not yet returned with them. There was at that moment a knock at his door. Adjusting her so that she was now laying on the sofa he put a light blanket over her and went to answer the door.

"Johnny where are her parents?" Sonny asked when he saw that the man had returned alone.

"I don't know boss, I talked to everyone, and no one has a clue who she is. I even had the guys ask people in the buildings near by. How she doing?"

"She's taking a nap. I guess I'll call Mac, see if anyone called the police looking for her."

"She sure is cute." Johnny said as he returned to his post outside the door.

"Yeah." Sonny looked back to the sofa where she was sleeping like an angel.

He went into the kitchen to make the call so he wouldn't wake her. Mac had not heard of a two-year-old girl being missing but told Sonny to bring her down to the station. He told Mac he would bring her down as soon as she woke up. He knew he should probably take her right away but he wasn't ready to let her go yet. An hour later she woke up. He was sitting in the chair and heard her begin to stir.

"Mommy," she called out and he knew she had forgotten where she was.

"Hey there sleepyhead," he greeted cheerfully, "remember me?" She smiled brightly and raised her arms.

"Up." Well at least she wasn't upset Sonny thought.

"Listen I was thinking we could go visit my friend Mac, he's a policeman and I'm sure he'll be able to find your Mommy, okay?" She nodded her head slowly and looked up at his seriously.

"Find Mommy?"

"Yeah, we'll find your mommy, I promise."

Sonny walked into the police station carrying the little girl whose name he still didn't know.

"What have you started kidnapping now too?" Taggart asked when he saw Sonny.

"Sweetie have you ever been to the circus?" Sonny asked the child ignoring Taggart. When she nodded he continued. Well you know the clowns that run around acting silly, I know he doesn't look like it but this is Taggy, the pesky clown." The little girl smiled at that and pointed to Taggart.

"Cwown." Sonny laughed,

"I couldn't have said it better myself."

"Very funny Corinthos, who's the little delinquent in training?"

"Hey watch it Taggart," Sonny said instinctively tightening his grip on her. Luckily Mac chose that moment to appear.

"Sonny this must be your friend you told me about. Hello, my name is Mac." He said now addressing the child. "I heard you're looking for your Mommy?" The little girl turned her head cuddling against Sonny, all of a sudden acting shy. Mac was about to try again when they heard a familiar Australian accented voice.

"Skye next time you and Edward have a power struggle and try to get each other arrested I'm not going to come..." Jax stopped talking to Skye mid-sentence when he saw the scene before him. Mac and Sonny were talking and in Sonny's arms was...

"Kasey?"
