Chapter 15

The next several minutes were filled with an embarrassed silence as both adults tried not to think about what had just happened. Sonny did not want to think about it because doing so made him want to do it again. Kissing Alexis was addictive and he knew he was hooked. If Jillian hadn't walked in who knows what would have happened. Sonny smiled to himself, he knew exactly what would have happened. He had wanted Alexis for so long that he still couldn't believe it was finally happening, she seemed to want him too. He knew she had a lot of stuff to deal with, including whatever it was that made her leave Port Charles. He wanted to help her deal with it, to be there for her like she had done so many times for him. He looked over at Alexis and then at Jillian and for just a minute he allowed himself to pretend. To pretend that he was the husband of this amazing, intelligent woman that was sitting before him. That he was the man she shared her bed and her secrets with. And that Jillian was their daughter, the little girl who reminded him so much of her mother. Looking at Jillian Sonny saw Alexis as a child. He knew that he would do anything to protect her from the horrors that both he and Alexis had faced as children. He knew also that he loved her as much as he would if she were really his.

"Jax I think we should talk."

"About what?"

"Oh I don't know, the weather, sports, the fact that you are the father of my sisters child?"

"Kristina!"

"Seriously Jax you can't avoid the subject forever."

"There's nothing for me to say Kristina. I'm as shocked by the test results as anyone else, I don't see how it's possibe."

"Well maybe it really did happen like Alexis said and Danniel had someone switch the results."

"It does seem the most likely explaination but I don't know, he seemed so genuinely happy about the results, I have a feeling he believed them."

It was really a lovely scene Alexis thought to herself. Sonny and Jillian were sitting together on the couch playing with Jillians gameboy. Alexis couldn't help but smile at how involved in the game Sonny was.

"I think I've got it," he murmered concentrating.

"You did it Sonny you rescued the princess." Jillian shouted.

Sonny smiled up at Alexis "I sure did."

"I am not a princess, I'm an attorny, and you didn't rescue me you kidnapped me, remember? Where on earth did you get such an archaic, chauvinistic game anyway?" Alexis asked Jillian knowing that she would never have bought such a thing for her daughter. She also wanted to make it very clear to Sonny that she was not some helpless damsel in distress that needed to be rescued.

"Jax bought it for me for Christmas." Jillian explained and Sonny burst out laughing.

"Please remain seated we are about to begin our descent." The voice over the intercom snapped everyone back to reality.

"Now that we're about to land will you please tell me where we are?" Alexis asked Sonny with considerable patience.

"Look out the window and see for yourself," he invited.

She did and gave a slight gasp when she realized exactly where they were.

"We never did get to finish our evening." Sonny said smiling. Jillian also looked out the window.

"Where are we Mom?"

"Puerto Rico"
