"Hey, Nick Happy birthday," she screamed wrapping her arms around him.
"Hey, Ohmigod, you made it," Nick hugged her.
"I just had to see you, my dad is much better so I flew down as soon as I could."
"Great great, Mandah decided to through me this huge party." Nick looked around at the hundred people at his house. "It's crazy..come on lets party," Nick grabbed her hand and walked back to the pool area.
"Hey Aj," Candice waved passing by Howie, Aj and Amanda, Aj's girlfriend.
"Hey Mandah come here," Nick yelled over the loud music.
"Hey it's great you could make it," Mandy smiled sweetly.
"Yeah it's nice to finally meet you," Candice smiled. Nick pulled on Candice's hand and said good-bye to Mandy and dragged her into the house.
"Nick what are you doing?"
"Shh, I want to talk to you," he sat down on the sofa; she followed him.
"Bout what?"
"Us, I know you're getting better right?" She nodded, "well then this is the perfect time to ask you out again."
"Nick I dunno," he pressed his lips against her forcefully, she just let him kiss her.
"Whatcha think," he asked pulling away.
"Nick I dunno," the door opening caused her to stop talking.

"Nick," a voice whispered.
"In here," Nick stood up.
"Oh good you're still here," Brian looked around the dark room.
"Hey Brian you made it," Nick hugged him.
"What are you doing alone in the dark bro?" Candice stood up, "oh."
"Hey Brian," she gave him a small wave.
"Everyone wants to say hi to the birthday boy," Brian informed them.
"I'm coming, I'm coming." Nick followed Brian out of the house. Nick grabbed Candice's hand and started dancing to a slow song. They swayed to the music together and everyone else seem to disappear as the lyrics sunk in...

"So did you have a great birthday party," Candice asked grabbing her toast.
"It was close to perfect," he smiled.
"What were you missing?"
"You never answered me," he sat on the table.
"Nick," she started, sitting next to him on the table. "I just dunno, I mean, I just dunno."
"Me either, that's what's so right about it, don't you see?" Nick hopped off the table.
"Nick that's crazy," Candice jumped off the table, Nick stood face to face with her.
"So," he asked pressing his lips against hers pushing her back on the table.
"Nick," she pushed him off her. "No, I don't want this," she blurted out covering her mouth.
"What," Nick asked shocked.
"Nick right now I don't want a relationship. I want to be with my family and get my life back together."
"I'm sorry," Nick frowned. "I understand, I was a jerk."
"No, Nick don't feel bad please," she hugged him.

"I have a great idea," Nick grinned. "You have to go on tour with us it'll be so much fun!"
"I dunno," she started.
"Stop with that 'I dunno' crap you are going, end of that."
"Ok well then I guess I'm going," she gave in, not wanting to turn this into a big fight.
"So will you give me another chance," he asked starring hard in her eyes.
"No," she said coolly.
"Wha-what?" Nick stammered.
"Nick, I don't want a relationship, I'll always love you and I'll always be your best friend, but as far as dating I dunno if I really want to go there again anytime soon. We'll always be friends though..Right?"
Nick shook his head, "yeah always."

"Um this magazine says you're still dating Mandah but this one says you're not. Weird," Brian held back laughter as Nick glared at him. "So which is it?" Nick sat next to his friend.
"You know I'm not dating her anymore, but we will always be friends, why do you read that shit!" Brian's mouth formed an O.
"So where's Candi anyway?"
"She went home," Nick sighed pulling out his Game Boy.
"Why are you so depressed, gosh cheer up look at that," he motion out the window at the thousand of screaming girls. "Look at all those girls who want to be your baby baybe!"
Nick gazed out his window and sighed again, "but none of them know the real me, Rok, to them all I am is some cute blonde singing poster boy."

"Hot," Brian laughed.
"Huh?"
"You're not cute, you're hot says so right here," Brian held up a magazine and laughed. Nick laughed grabbing the magazine.
"Lies all of them," he yelled dramatically walking toward the bunks.

"Truth or dare?" Aj grinned at Candice.
She bit her bottom lip, "dare." There was a round of OH's from the group.
"Ok, I got the prefect dare," Aj grinned more standing up.

Candice made her way through the crowds of screaming girls, she looked down at her ticket, "prefect," she mumbled smiling. Two teenage girls around 14 or 15 stood near her seat she eased dropped on their conversation.
"No, Nick is totally the hottest," the tall brunette insisted.
"No, Kevin is the hottest, Nick is too--too boyish," the short redhead smiled.
"No, Aj is by far the sexiest and the sweetest," Candice interrupted, stepping next to the redhead.
"No, he's too-too," the redhead started.
"Rebellious," the brunette finished. "Plus Nick is the sweetest."
"No, Kevin is," the redhead said with a stupid grin on her face.
"Aren't you a little too old to be a fan anyway," the brunette shot back snobbishly.
"I'm only 20 and my boyfriend just had these tickets laying around and I need a nap anyway and plus who ever said I was a fan," she turned her back to the girls and Aj walked by right on cue.
Both girls gasped. "Oh look it's Aj," another fan screamed, the whole arena started to scream. Aj wrapped his arms around Candice's waist and the walked off making sure the girls were still watching.
"We're getting this all on tape," Aj whispered in her ear; they both laughed. They walked into the room and everyone burst out laughing.

"I can't believe I just did that," Candice collapsed next to Nick.
"I believe it," Mandah cheered.
"Me, too." Brian rolled on the floor.
"Ok Kevin truth or dare," Candice asked still laughing.

"So whatcha got?" Nick asked jumping up as she entered the room with two large paper bags in her arms.
"Um..Ding-Dongs, chips, fruit bars, soda, Twinkies, and candy.." She grinned.
"Yumm..so lots of junk?"
"You got it..we gets to pig out all night..just you and I."
"Sounds like fun..so what are watching?"
"Nothing, we are gonna talk." Nick groaned.
"Do we have to," Nick whined following her into the kitchen.
"Yes, we have to," she smiled. Nick grabbed a soda and a bag of chips and ran into the living room.
"No. No and no," Candice ran after him grabbing the remote from his hands. "No TV Nick I'm serious."
"You're no fun," Nick whined crossing his arms over his chest.
"I know and neither are you," she sat next to him.
"Haha," he opened his soda and took a drink.
"Ok so what do you want to start with?"
"Ok that's your question now I get one," Nick laughed.
"That's not fair, you cheated," she protested.
"Shush, my turn. Ok did you really not recognize me when you first saw me?" Nick waited for her to answer; she hesitated a little. Nick bit his top lip.

"Honestly no I didn't..you looked a lot different, you know-and it's not like I stare at your picture everyday anyway. I've only seen you once, in concert with my cousin."
"Oh, am I that unrecognizable," Nick asked with a cocky grin.
"No, not really now that I think about it, you're very recognizable," she smiled.
"Ok your turn," Nick smiled.
"Ok, you have to answer truthfully and you can't say no comment..k?"
"Ok," Nick gave her an unsure smile.
"Ok what is your deepest darkest secret, one that only you and one other person know?"
Nick fidgeted with his shirt, "I'm a virgin." Nick kept a straight face the whole time she waited for him to laugh, but he didn't; he was totally serious!
