Monday, August 30: Today school started and I meet my fabulous new web design class. They are so cool! I am, like, totally excited and reeved up for the year. I introduced them to Windows XP: "Meet Mr. XP," I said. And they did.

Tuesday, August 31: Nothing like learning the basics of HTML and typing a brand spanking new web page in Notepad to see who can type and follow directions and who can't. Some people haven't been doing much writing this summer! Everyone managed to put a background color, headline, and text on the page. We formatted the text a bit.

Wednesday, September 1: Today was the day to learn about lists, which will come in handy when we have a page of favorites. I couldn't think of three foods I liked without help. I also couldn't spell "anchovy" or "Hawaiian"-- which I said were my favorite kinds of pizza.

Thursday, September 2: Reviewing for quizzes is always a little humbling for teachers. You think you'll made everything so clear and then you find out half the class doesn't have a clue. It does make you feel like a bit of a turkey. I also tried to start explaining the concept of links. We didn't get to relative links, like the ones at the bottom of this page.

Friday, September 3: Today it's quiz time. And link time. And project example time. And, if we have time, image time. It's also time for the weekend!
