Courtney stared at John in disbelieve. "No. Brian is in perfect health." The interview footage was cut off and Mandy popped back on the screen and smiled.

Brian shut off his TV and yawned. Dying? of all the stupid things! He smiled as he stared out the entertainment room window and saw Lauren playing with his daughter in the pool.
"Mr. Littrell," a voice asked breaking his thoughts.
"Yes, Lucy?" Brian asked turning his attention back to his daughter.
"Mrs. Littrell is here to see you." Brian's eyes seem to shut without him acknowledging the fact he had turned around and was now facing the one person he wanted to see least in the whole wide world.
"Brian, I," Leighanne started watching him slowly open his eyes. She was caught off guard when his palm slid across her cheek causing a loud smacking sound.
