"AJ called again today while I was at the store," I told Vanessa when she came to get me to go to her house.
"Yeah I talked to Nick like three days ago. He said he's sorry and everything but he still doesn't understand."
"I haven't talked to AJ at all. I don't even answer the phone anymore." Even though I didn't want to admit it I did miss him a lot.
"They're in New York right now," Vanessa said. When we got in the car her cell phone rang, "Hello? Oh Lance. Hey what's up? No I can't make it today maybe next week or something okay? Kay. Bye."
I looked at her. "Lance?" I asked, "You talk to him still?"
"Yeah he really likes me but you know? I'm not over Nick. Justin asks for you all the time," she said nudging me in the ribs.
"No thanks," I said thinking of his fro. "He's nice and all but I couldn't. You know I'm through with those 'boy band' types."
"Oh, of course," Vanessa said. We got to her house and there were roses all over her porch, she smiled.
"Lance?" I asked.
"Probably." She picked up the note and read it. Her face went blank. "Nick," she said. Her eyes looked kinda watery. She stepped over the roses and went inside the house. I picked up the note she had dropped on the floor and read it:
'Vanessa,
I'm so sorry. Mandy was wrong. I would never go back to her. I can't get you off my mind. I've been trying to tell you this but you always hang up before I finish... I love you. Nick'
I sighed. "How sweet," I thought to myself. When I went inside she was already on the phone with him. I sat in the living room to give her some privacy. She came out 30 minutes later with a smile on her face.
"Nick is in LA right now. He's on his way over," she was so happy. My heart dropped I couldn't stop thinking about AJ. I missed him so much even though he wanted to be with Amanda.
"That's great!" I said trying to sound happy for her. I was happy for her but my heart was hurting for AJ.
"Yeah he actually told me he loves me and wants me to go back to New York with him!"
"Great!" I said.
A couple hours later we heard a car drive up, "That's him. Come outside." She pulled my arm.
"No! I mean you guys need to be alone."
"Come on!" She pulled my arm and we went outside. Nick rushed over to her and swept her up in his arms.
"Oh god. I've missed you so much." He gave her a passionate kiss. Then I saw the back door of the car open and out came AJ with 2 dozen roses. Vanessa smiled and looked at me, my mouth had dropped open. He came over to me and got on one knee.
"Can you ever forgive me for being such an ass?" He took my hand.
"AJ, I don't..." I started.
"Wait I have one more thing to say," he said. "Ready Nick?"
"Ready." They stood close to us and A.J took my hand and started singing:

Nick and AJ stood there looking at us. "So I am so sorry," AJ said. "I really like you. Well...I love you," he said. I looked at him.
"He's not lying, you know," Nick said.
"I love you too AJ," I said. He hugged and kissed me.
"I missed you so much baby," he said. Then he said, "Nick and I want to ask you girls a question."
"Yeah," Nick said. "Go ahead AJ."
"Well we want to go to New York with us. We want you girls to go everywhere with us!" AJ said.
"We will!" Vanessa and I said at the same time.
