Once upon a time,
                           a long time ago,
                 there was a lovely little village
                              in The West

                 The people of Haven
                       were happy & friendly
                             and welcomed
                                  Newcomers
                                       to their midst.

                 One day, there came to Haven
                         a Dragon  named  J 'on.
                               Claiming to be Friendly,
                                     and seeming so,
                                        the Haveners took J'on
                                            as one of their own.

           What the Haveners did not,
                  COULD not know,
                          was that J 'on
                                  had a False Heart
                                        & lied to them.

                  When it's original owner
                        mysteriously disappeared,
                            he laid claim to a nearby castle
                                called The Elm
                     which was known for it's hospitality,
                                    both to it's residents
                                          and it's visitors.

                    This, he promptly changed
                           & the castle servants,
                                 under his power,
                                     became his slaves.

                    To all the visitors,
                           nothing seemed amiss
                              & J 'on's magic deceived
                                        all but a few.

                    Years went by,
                           and J' on's hold
                              over the poor inhabitants
                                    of The Elm
                                          grew .

                     The situation seemed hopeless.
 
 

                While his fierce tyranny
                         laid low the spirits
                             of his slaves,
                                They continued to pray
                                            for their
                                              Deliverance.

                 One of these servants,
                       a half-breed fairy-human
                              named Enoon,
                      would occasionally
                           sneak out of The Elm
                             in the middle of the night
                              to enjoy the sweet mysteries
                                   of the nearby forest.

                 There, she would visit her fairy kin, 
                                  & dream
                         of the Great Day
                            when she & her fellow slaves
                                  would be free
                                       once more.

                 Enoon knew that if she was
                       ever caught doing this,
                          she would suffer
                                    dearly,
                  and the thought did  occur to her,
                                   at times,
                       to flee this cursed place,
                                 never to return.

                 But, as much as she loved
                            her Freedom,
                              she loved her friends more
                                and always returned,
                                knowing  she could not
                                            desert them.

                     Still, she knew she must find a way
                                 to rid The Elm of it's curse.
