Some summer this is.
For three thousand miles, Jessica's trapped in a car with Elizabeth and her boyfriend, Sam.
A guy she totally can't stand!
Like this cross-country adventure will really bring them all closer.
Drive them father apart is more like it.
But Jessica really does get close to someone in that car.
And Elizabeth goes farther away than anyone ever imagined...
Sam squeezed the waitress closer to him, his mouth pressed against hers, his tongue probing hers. What was her name - Cathy? He dimly remembered that he'd promised himself he wouldn't rise to the bait, but she tasted too delectable to think about anything else.
He heard a gasp. Guess she's was into this too. Sam couldn't help feeling flattered. After all, he hadn't kissed anyone but Elizabeth for months, and it was nice to know that he hadn't lost his touch because he has a girlfriend.
"Sam!"
Sam frowned as the kiss deepened. That was weird. How could Cathy kiss him and talk at the same time? Was she a ventriloquist? Not only that, but she managed to sound just like Jessica, too.
Jessica! Sam pulled away from Cathy in shock. He turned to see Jessica staring at him. She looked even more shocked than he did, and her face was turning an interesting shade of bright purple.
"Oh, man."
