Crash Landing!

Bruce checked the altimeter and notched in the throttle. The small plane hesitated, then the propeller bit into the thin air and lurched them higher. His handsome face was pale. "What's the matter?" Lila asked quickly.
The plane dipped. "We're on empty," Bruce said, his voice shaking. "We're going down."
"I'll call the traffic control center," Lila said, seizing the mike from the instument panel.
Bruce shook his head. "we're too low - the mountains are interferring with the transmission!"
The stall-warning indicator began to blare. Bruce slammed his palm against the intsrument panel. "Damn - we're below stall speed!" he shouted.
We're going to crash, she realized. There's no hope.
"I think we night make it to that ledge!" Bruce shouted.
"We can't survive a hit this hard!" She was screaming now.
Bruce swore desprately. "I can't see the ledge anymore! Damned fog!"
Lila opened her eyes. a huge wall of rock erupted before her. Lila heard her scream echo wildly around the cabin. Then blackness slammed into her.
