As Ryan turned back to the counter to pour himself another drink, Jessica left the couch and snuck up behind him, slipping her arms around his bare waist and pressing her face against his muscular back. "You know, I've been waiting for this night for ages," she admitted dreamily. "Ever since the frst time I saw you last summer."
"Oh, yeah?" he teased. "That's a suprise. You looked awefully busy with Ben Mercer to me.
Jessica stiffened at the sound of Ben's name, then forced herself to relax again. "Ben was nothing to me - just someone to hang out with," she lied, hoping Ryan wouldn't catch on. "You were the guy I really wanted."
Ryan put down the whiskey bottle and loosened her arms just enough to turn around and face her. "I like a woman who knows what she wants," he said, flashing a slow, sexy grin. He put his hands on Jessica's shoulders and pulled her tightly against his chest. "I must have been blind to have chosen your sister over you."
