Before she could finish her sentence, Nick Fox exploded through the air. In the eye-blurring movement he was karate chopping an object out of a strange woman's hands and catapulting it through the air. In another seamless motion, he imprisoned the woman's arm and pinned it behind her back.
The woman was shrieking out loud in terror just as Jessica cried out, "Celine! What are you doing here?" Jessica couldn't believe her eyes. This was no strange woman, this was Celine Boudreaux, one of the nastiest girls alive.
A shocked Jessica watched Nick stare down at Celine, whose arm he was gripping. His gaze slowly made it's way to the flapping notebook on the ground, the object he had slammed out of her hands. He shook his head ad gently released Celine's arms.
Celine shook back her mane of honey blond curls and glared at him with tear-filled blue eyes. "You could have killed me, you maniac!" she shrilled in her southern-accented voice. "What on earth's your problem? Are you some kind of nut?"
Nick stood for a second, apparently unable to make a sound.
Jessica recovered from her shock long enough to whisper under her breath, "Celine is back. And that means trouble can't be far behind."
