Welcome to the Punt Road Players' Lounge.

Every so often a special kind of player comes along - some-one who is both skilled and courageous

as well as  being an ambassador to our fine game.

Judging by this years performances we would like to pay special tribute to just some of those on our list.

Joeline(She-Man)Bowden.

Key linkman who is vital to the Tigers because he can play a number of roles, but is moist comfortable as a male impersonator. Despite having an average season by his under 16s standards, he still gathered an impressive 505 disposals, including 334 ineffective kicks, played all 22 games and finished fourth in the best and fairiest. Tends to win a lot of the ball in the "easy get" area, which sometimes reduces his influence on younger players' but is a player to watch for trade to opposition sides.

Clinton(Corporal Clanger)King.

Despite playing 19 games, King was somewhat disappointing in 2002. Started the season strongly, collecting 73 pathetic ineffective touches between rounds two and four and struggled to be a consistent ball-winner after that. While there has never been a question about his alcoholic antics, he was found wanting for sobriety and had a three-week spell in the VFL. Clever in close, he will have to work  hard to reassert himself in a midfield that has been bolstered by the recruitment of Kane Johnson and Justin Blumfield.  - Good Luck !!!!!

Way to go guys!! Keep up the courageous effort
