Born in Phoenix, AZ. Michael's musical influence began at an early age listening to his mother and grandfather singing and entertaining at many family gatherings. At the age of 8, Michael and his family moved to the small town of Payson located in the central mountains of AZ.
While growing up at a time when most of Michael's peers were listening to Elton John, Ted Nugent, Boston and other popular artists of the day. Michael was discovering such greats as Elvis Presley, Jim Reeves, Merle Haggard, Buck Owens, Marty Robbins, Dean Martin and others.
After moving to Payson, Michael would eventually team up with his neighbor and high school english teacher, Curtis Vick. The two soon began writing and performing their music at local functions. Now residing again, in Phoenix, Michael is still carrying on the family's musical tradition.
