Jean Grey's Bio.

Jean Grey has the mutant ability of telekenesis, flight, and telepathy.

Jean Grey grew up in Nebraska. Her mutant abilities manifested when her friend got hit by a car.

Jean Grey was recruited by Professor X when she was 11 years old. She became one of the first X-Men in her later teens.

Jean Grey fell in love with one of the other X-Men, Cyclops, Scott Summers.

Jean Grey and the rest of her teammates left the X-Men except Cyclops.

Later, Jean Grey was returning to earth in a ship, but she was exposed to lethal solar radiation. She came in contact with the Phoenix entity on the ship. It took on her physical form, and put her in a capsule to heal. The ship fell into the New York Bay, and the X-Men saw her emerge from the bay as the Phoenix.

Later, Jean Grey was kidnapped, and mindwashed into joining the Hellfire Club as the Black Queen by Jason Wyngarge, Mastermind. But Mastermind's powers backfired on him when he triggered her evil personality; thus, unleashing the Dark Phoenix. Jean Grey left into outer space as the Dark Phoenix, and went on a rampage. (The Phoenix Force came from an star that exploded, and destroyed planets, and an alien race.)

The X-Men ended up defending Jean Grey from the Shiar when the Shiar demanded to kill her. Jean Grey sacrificed herself when she triggered an ancient cannon; thus, releasing the Phoenix Force.

Later, the Fantastic Four found the capsule that had the real Jean Grey. And Jean Grey was reunited with Cyclops and the X-Men.

Cyclops had a son from Madylene Pryor when Jean Grey was thought dead.

Later, Jean Grey and the original X-Men formed a government mutant team named X-Factor. Jean Grey had her Phoenix power turned off ever since she came back from the capsule. She fought many battles with the team, whom were the first to encounter the first mutant, Apocalypse. He would have a deep effect on the teams members in the future.

In the storyline 'Inferno', Jean Grey met her cloned twin, Madelyene Pryor, Goblin Queen. Pryor sacrificed herself in order to get her baby, Nathan, back from Sinister. So Jean Grey and Cyclops gained custody of the baby.

Later on, X-Factor had to save Cyclops's baby from Apocalypse on the moon. They saved the baby and defeated Apocalypse and his Dark Riders with the help from the Inhumans, and a woman named Askan, who was from an alternate timeline. Cyclops had to give the baby to Askani because his son was needed there, and was dying from the techo-organic virus.

Soon, Jean Grey and her team left X-Factor and became X-Men again. In the first battle back with the X-Men, she was put in a temporary coma by the Sentinels when she was protecting a knocked out Emma Frost, White Queen. But Jean Grey snapped out of the coma with Professor X's help.

Later, the X-Men became teachers at Xavier's school. Jean Grey's Phoenix powers manifested again. Also, Cyclops began to have an affair with Emma Frost, and Jean Grey found out.

Later, Magneto revealed himself as impostering the mutant, Xorn. Magneto then destroyed New York, and gave Jean Grey a planetary stroke from an electromagnetic pulse; thus, she died.

However, Jean Grey was ressurected from the Phoenix Force when it found her. Jean grey ended up turning into the Phoenix again, and was possesed by her again. She was confronted by the Shiar in Alaska, but she destoyed thier ship in order to save herself and the X-Men. But she had to go find herself out in the cosmos.

I used various X-Men related comic books from my personal collection, and the Ultimate X-Men book by DK for reference.
