Hats Off Film Reconstruction

The story of two boys who figure that the world owes them a living, but is about 35 years behind in the payments.

There are only two films which Stan and Ollie made together, which seem to have disappeared. One is a feature film called "The Rogue Song", while the other is "Hats Off". Rumours abound that the films have been found, from time to time, but sadly, no proof is ever forthcoming. The films were originally printed on volatile film stock, which have disintegrated over the years. It is a shame video tape was not available in the last century!

The film itself tells the tale of a couple of honest, hard - working Boys who wish to deliver a washing machine to the lady living at the top of the stairs. The basic premise of the film was later reused in the "talkie" we know and love as "The Music Box".

We must give thanks to the "Bacon Grabbers" Tent of Wigan for these pictures, and also to Dave Tomlinson of our own tent for his assistance in providing the "Hats Off" Storyline.
