The Champions of Europe was one of the several superhero teams that gathered in the wake of Hydra's take over of the United States of America to stop it from expanding any further. They rescued Squirrel Girl and Enigma of the U.S.Avengers from a Hydra splinter group at Paris after they were teleported away from Washington, D.C. by their teammate, Toni Ho, a.k.a. the Iron Patriot.
