History of the International Foundation for Risk Betterment

Concerning the Beginning:

The International Foundation for RiskŪ Betterment (IFRB) began taking form in the minds of
Mike Benson, Dan Speke, and Jake Sharks in the year 2000 after receiving a variation of the Risk rules written by
Finnegan Thynn
. These rules, which were the base for the final variations which are included in Gameplay-methods, sparked a fire in the above persons to establish a foundation by which not only could they make known their thoughts to the outside world, but also spark interest into the game of RiskŪ itself. They had come to notice a dying interest in this wonderful board game, well, in any board game for that matter, in this day and age of computers and electronics, and wished to spread the word of this game to others. Thus the National Foundation for RiskŪ Betterment (NFRB) was established in the fall of 2000. However, after several months it came to the realization of the founders of NFRB that the National in NFRB belittled their company to only a handful of perspective members to their foundation. Therefore, after only three months it was put to the ballots and the National was changed to International with a unanimous vote. Soon after changing the name of the IFRB it was decided that the Foundation should form Offices to better hold the purpose of the Foundation in mind, thus it was decided among the Founding Fathers that:
Mike Benson should be President
Dan Speke should be Vice-President
Finnegan Thynn should be Rule overseer and Administrator to IFRB
Jake Sharks should be Presidential Advisor
Till now the four leaders of this organization had received the cold shoulder from many of their friends about joining their organization until on January 18, 2001 the first member of IFRB was brought forth and interviewed. After a vote Bobby Loorang joined the foundation and has since enjoyed several games with his fellow officers. About a year after Bobby Loorang decided to join  The Constitution was formed and Ratified thus better defining our purpose and what each office should entail in it's duties. During this time it came to the attention of several of the Founding Fathers that the names of the Offices did not fully benefit the Foundation therefore it was decided that the names be changed to better benefit the defining of each Office's Duties. Therefore it was put to vote and the Offices were changed to the following:
Mike Benson  - CEO
Dan Speke - President
Finnegan Thynn - Vice - President
Jake Sharks - Administrator of Affairs & Public Relations
Bobby Loorang - Creative thinking
And that is the History of the IFRB up to this Date.

Concerning Activities:

The activities, which we who are a part of IFRB initiate, are usually a semi-formal banquet followed by a game of usually classic RiskŪ. When getting together to play with and discuss variations of the classic RiskŪ rules it is usually in an informal gathering. These meetings take place in an orderly fashion, and each of the members taking notes of the pros and cons of the game as they progress in playing. The members continue playing until:
1. The game is finished
or
2. The rules are fallible beyond repair (In which case the rules are scrapped and the game... Terminated!)
