this is my personal page where you get to find out all the neat (and maybe not so neat) stuff about me. i was born in washington (the state) and moved to florida about a year or so later. i lived there until i was 7 (with one year spent at principia in first grade... (it's k-college). then, we moved to new jersey for a year and on to michigan when i was 9. we lived in harbor springs, mi for 4 years until my 8th grade year (age 14) when we moved to petoskey across the bay. in 1997 after i graduated, my family and i moved out of town to pickerel lake where my parents lived until january of 2005. they now live in montana and i live in glen arbor, michigan.

my mom, julie, was born in kansas and raised there and in iowa (where her parents still live). she met my dad at summer camp in colorado and they also went to college (prin, of course) together. my dad, ric, was born and raised in washington where all of his family still live. my dad has his own video production business and he does all the shooting, editing, and all that for other business, weddings, conferences, commercials, tv programs, and school related stuff too. my mom helps him out tons with that, and she also teaches private voice and piano lessons, as she has done for many years (she is also my voice teacher :)

i also have 2 cats - spot, my sweet white fluff ball and cinder, my loving grey kitty who i got from the humane society new years day 2004. i have a picture of these two coming soon :)

my brother and i back in the day :)

my brother, matt, who graduated in june 2000 from principia and majored in mass communications. he is now living back in montana (see below). he is currently working for my parents' video business. he has many talents, including playing the guitar and singing, snowboarding, writing, any sport under the sun (he played football and tennis at prin), and picking on me :)

he spent a year in montana (98-99) at big sky resorts working and playing... and is very happy to be living there again...

stuff i enjoy doing: playing the guitar and singing, playing the piano, dancing, speaking and teaching french, listening to my cd collection, driving, and hanging out with my best buds.

i graduated from principia college in 2001 and headed out to vermont to do my masters of art in teaching. i've got the coursework done and just have to do the (enormous) portfolio now....
