ONE MORE FINAL:

Love is destruction

Standing in Terminal Dogma is Commander Gendou Ikari and Rei
Ayanami. He pulls the glove of his right hand to reveal Adam, in
his embroic form, attached to his palm.
"I've already become one with Adam. The only way I can meet Yui
again is for Adam and Lilith to become one." explains Gendou as
he rips Rei's damaged left arm off.
"There isn't much time. Your A.T field won't be able to keep your
current shape for long. It must begin, Rei. You must release the
barrier that encloses your heart, the A.T field protecting it.
Let us create the missing heart. Throw away this useless body and
make our souls become one. Then, take me to Yui." demands Gendou
as he puts his right hand on Rei's breast.
As the hand passes through her body, Rei closes her eyes. When 
Gendou's hand reaches into Rei's abdomen, she cries out in agony.
The Geofront has become a living hell. All that remains is a
wasteland. And Unit-01 has finally entered it.
"Asuka!" cries Shinji at the horrid sight.
He is too late. Unit-02's internal organs have been revealed
without mercy. The Mass Production model Eva's are eating bits
of Unit-02's up in the sky.Shinji screams at the horrible sight.
"Ikari?" cries Rei as she hears Shinji's scream.
In the Geofront, Unit-01 has begun shedding it's armour. On the
Eva's back, giant yellow wings of light have begun to grow. When
the wings have finished growing, the Eva then flies up to thesky.
"An unknown object from the atmosphere is approaching the
Geofront at a high speed!" exclaims a JSSDF officer.
"What was that?" demands the squad Commander.
In the second announcement place, Commander Fuyutski has become
aware of the event."This isn't good. Could it be the Lance of Longinus?"
The Lance, which was travelling at a high speed from the
atmosphere, stops centimeters from spearing Unit-01's throat.
In SEELE's meeting room, they too have found out about thisoccurrence.
"At last, our wish has finally been set into motion." says KeelLorenz.
"The original Lance of Longinus has returned to us." adds a SEELEmember.
"It's unavoidable. Even though the number is small." saysanother.
"Let us make the Eva series become the original figure. Let us
make it become the figure of sincerity that brings the gospel of
humankind of us. Let us make humankind become the figure of
sincerity through the grace that is equivalent to death." state
all 12 SEELE members.
"There is tranquility in the soul. Let us begin the ceremony."says Keel.
In the sky above Tokyo-3, the Mass Production model Eva's have
disposed of Unit-02's remains which they held in their mouths.
Each Eva instead spears Unit-01 palms with their Lance of
Longinus. Then, they begin to bite at Unit-01's four wings of
light. Unit-01 becomes crucified, just like Lilith was.
Inside the entry plug, Shinji stares at stigmatas that have
formed on both his hands.
The situation taking place is closely monitored in the secondannouncement place.
"They've taken Unit-01 up in the sky." reports Makoto.
"They're 12,000 meters above ground and ascending further." addsShigeru.
"Is SEELE going to make Unit-01 the vessel that all life will go
into?" asks Commander Fuyutski.
"A holy scar was engraved on Unit-01." says a SEELE member.
"Therefore, let us restore the Tree of Life." replies thecommittee.
"The Eva series were our servants for this moment!" states Keelas he appears.
In the sky above Tokyo-3, the Mass Production model Eva's have
positioned themselves around Unit-01. A rainbow colored circular
field surrounds them.
"The Eva's have activated their S2 engines!" reports Shigeru.
"It looks like the data received from this is resulting in a
minus! It can't be observed! We can't get a numerical value!"exclaims Makoto.
"Could it be an anti-A.T field?" asks Commander Fuyutski.
Suddenly, Tree of Sephiroth appears in the sky above Tokyo-3.
"All phenomena monitored resemble what happened 15 years ago...
Are these signs of the Third Impact occurring?" asks Maya.
At the JSSDF frontline base in Tokyo-3, an officer looks up at
the Tree of Sephiroth pattern outlined in the sky.
"The S2 engines have entered critical mass!" exclaims an officer.
"Cease activity immediately! Each force is to withdraw promptly."orders another.
"Gravitation between the molecule can't be maintained anylonger."
"Our operation has ended in failure." says the squad Commander
regretfully as a giant burst of light swallows the surface ofTokyo-3.
"It's a direct hit! The earth's surface layers have fused
together!" exclaims Shigeru.
"The second wave is excavating to the circumference of headquar-
ters! The outside shell is becoming disclosed!" adds Makoto.
"We haven't yet experienced a physical shock wave. We should be
able to withstand it if we absorb most of it." says CommanderFuyutski.
Suddenly, a huge burst of light spreads around the Geofront.
"It shows the time of the eternity..." says a SEELE member.
"By means of a purification ceremony of the red soil..." addsanother.
"The Geofront is the beginning..."
"Let us make it the figure of sincerity." states Keel.
The circumference of Tokyo-3 is dug out on a large scale. The
Geofront becomes a giant black sphere which begins to rise.
"Lilith's egg, also known as the black moon, is the source of
humankind's existence. We didn't hope on returning to the shell
that was forgotten for such a long time. However, this has now
become dependant on Lilith..." says Commander Fuyutski.
In Terminal Dogma, Commander Ikari has become aware of what ishappening.
"It seems that it has begun. Rei, take me to where Yui is."orders Gendou.
Instead of following his orders, Rei stares back at Gendoucoldly.
"No, this can't be happening!" exclaims Gendou.
"I am not your doll." replies Rei as she rips of his right arm
and takes it into her body.Gendou staggers back from Rei."Why?" asks Gendou.
Rei's damaged left arm begins to regenerate itself quickly.
"I can't be yours." replies Rei as she floats towards Lilith.
"Wait, Rei! Please wait! Rei!" cries Gendou desperately.
"No. Ikari is calling me.""Rei!"Rei stops before Lilith's chest.
"I'm home." says Rei."Hello, dear." comes a voice from nowhere.
Suddenly, Lilith's breast opens and Rei enters the Angel. Lilith
dislodges her hands from the giant red cross and falls into the
giant lake of L.C.L. The body begins to take form into a female
human body. The mask on Lilith's face falls off to reveal a face
which looks like Rei. But the eyes aren't present on the giantbeing.
"Rei!" cries Gendou in a futile attempt to get the beingsattention.
"An unknown object with a high energy output is approaching us
rapidly from Terminal Dogma!" exclaims Shigeru.
"We've confirmed the presence of an A.T field. According to the
Magi, it's a blue blood pattern." adds Makoto."What? An Angel?" exclaims Maya.
"No, it's has to be wrong!" replies Shigeru.
"It's not an Angel, but a human!" cries Makoto.
Lilith passes through the second announcement place. Maya shrieks
as Lilith's left hand passes through her.
In the sky above Tokyo-3, Unit-01 is about to make contact withLilith.
"Damn it! Destroy it! Kill it!" cries Shinji.
Lilith holds out both arms to embrace Unit-01. Shinji is
terrified by the sight before him."Ayanami? Rei?" asks Shinji
In that moment, red eyes, like Rei's, replace the black hollows
that were there instead.Shinji screams in terror at the sight.
"Let us begin humankind's complementation by using the pilot of
Evangelion Unit-01." state all 12 SEELE members.
"The three rewards of the times." relies Keel.
"The A.T fields that are created by the Eva series have begun to
resonate!" exclaims Shigeru."They're amplifying further!" adds Makoto.
"Are they beginning to assimilate with Rei?" asks CommanderFuyutski.
In the sky above Tokyo-3, Rei's face, in various sizes, has begun
to appear from the Mass Production model Eva's mouths.
Inside Unit-01's entry plug, Shinji is crazily moving the control
sticks backwards and forwards while screaming in terror.
"His mental graph signal is steadily declining." reports Shigeru.
"His mind graph is distorted!" adds Makoto.
"If this keeps up, he won't be able to take it for too long..."
says Commander Fuyutski.
Inside Unit-01's entry plug, Shinji is in a state of shock.
"I can't take this any more, I can't take this any more, I can't
take this any more, I can't take this any more..." repeats Shinjicontinuously.
Suddenly, a giant Kaworu Nagisa separates from Rei's waist.
"Haven't you already done enough?" asks Kaworu as he holds out
both arms to embrace Unit-01.
"Were you there, Kaworu?" asks Shinji as his expression turns tohappiness.
"His solenoid graph is changing direction. His ego borderline is
falling." reports Shigeru.
"The A.T field pattern is cycling from blue to red!" exclaimsMakoto.
The tip of the Lance of Longinus touches Unit-01's core and they
unify. The Eva forms into a giant cross with a red tree. An eye
pattern begins to cover Unit-01's entire body. 
"The seed of life which an Angel possesses and the wisdom which
a human has. Eva Unit-01 has got both. That is why her existence
became equal to that of God. Therefore, she is reduced to a tree
which is large enough to enter the river of life. When the Second
Impact occurred, our future was entrusted to Ikari's son. Whether
it became the ark that would save mankind or it became the beast
that ended out existence." explains Commander Fuyutski.
"What? Then this was supposed to happen?" demands Maya.
"It can't be understood!" replies Shigeru.
In the sky above Tokyo-3, Yui Ikari appears.
"The present is held within your heart, Rei. This, in itself, is
your wish." says Yui."And what do you wish for?" asks Rei.
It's evening in a park. A child Shinji is playing in a sandbox.
"It's all the same! It's the same when I began to play the cello.
When I came here, I thought that something would be waiting forme." says Shinji.
"Shinji's going to do it!" cries a girl."Let's build a castle!" says another.
"Alright!" replies Shinji as he builds a sand castle with the two
girls, who are actually dolls."Oh, it's my mummy!" says one girl
"I have to go home now." says the other."Bye!""Mummy!"
The child Shinji begins to build a castle in the sandbox by
himself. What he ends up building is a pyramid, just like NERV
headquarters. When he finishes, he stares at it. Then, he begins
kicking at it and totally demolishes the building.
The child Shinji looks at the mess and begins to build it again.
Still in the park, the teenage Shinji is lying on his back.
Sitting on top on him is Asuka. Both of them are naked and theyare having sex. 
"Damn! I'm angry that I'm looking at you!" exclaims Asuka.
"Is that what I am to you?" asks Shinji."Mu...momma..." says a child Asuka.
"Mu...momma..." repeats the teenage Asuka."Mother..." says Shinji.
"I couldn't become Shinji's mother after all..." says Misatosadly.
Shinji stares at Misato's cross pendant.
In an apartment, Misato and Kaji are present. It is back when
they were college students. Shinji and Asuka, now dressed, watchon/
"Let me see... Let's do it, Kaji." says a teenage Misato.
"Again? Alright. Hey, did you meet your friend at college today?"
asks a teenage Kaji.
"Oh, Ritsuko. No, I didn't. It doesn't matter, I've still gotlots of time."
"One week has already passed since we've been living like this,you know."
"I've slowly gotten used to it. Now, let's do it..."
Misato and Kaji proceed to have sex. As Shinji looks on, he
listens to Misato's moaning voice.
"Maybe...I do this so that I can confirm...that I exist." gaspsMisato.
"This is so stupid! I can't believe I'm seeing lonely adults
comforting each other!" exclaims Asuka.
"Did you think that a stranger might also need your body?" asksRitsuko.
"I'm happy because I feel a stranger needs me." confesses Misato.
"You probably think I might have some value in that case!"retorts Asuka.
"Did...did Misato do such things?" asks Shinji.
"Yes, I did. This is a part of me. This is a part of my heart
that reflects a part of me which Shinji doesn't know about. Pain
is part of the truth, but you must bear it." replies Misato.
"Will I be able to the things Misato does when I grow up?" asksAsuka.
In Misato's apartment in Tokyo-3, Asuka approaches Shinji.
"Wanna kiss, Shinji?" asks Asuka mischievously."Oh, no you won't!" says Misato.
"Or are you scared?" continues Asuka."Kids don't usually do it." adds Misato.
"Well, what are you waiting for?" demands Asuka as she kicksShinji.
"You're not to come near me. You don't understand me!" exclaimsAsuka.
"I understand you." replies Shinji.
"No, you don't! What are you, stupid? Will you ever understand
me? Do you think you think you can save me? You're just stuck up
and arrogant. You don't understand me!"
"I can't understand you because you never speak to me. It's
impossible for you to say that you want me to understand you. You
never tell me anything!"
Sitting opposite each other inside a train is Shinji and Rei.
"Did you try to understand her?" asks Rei."I tried to." replies Shinji.
"You disgusting pervert! I know you were fantasising about having
sex with me! Masturbate as you did that time. Hey, I'm waiting!"says Asuka.
Shinji doesn't react.
"If you don't want to become mine, then I don't want you." saysAsuka.
"Then, will you be nice to me?" asks Shinji.
"I'm nice to you." replies a naked Asuka and sits up.
"I'm nice to you." replies a naked Rei and sits up.
"I'm nice to you." replies a naked Misato and sits up.
"You're lying! You're trying to deceive me so that you can laugh
at me! You're just trying to make it vague!" cries Shinji.
"The truth hurts everyone. It's very painful." says Rei.
"Useless things only surround me..." replies Shinji.
"You're being evasive." continues Rei.
"I feel scared during situations like these. I get easily
flustered. I'm not calm. I may not be needed someday! Somebody,
speak to me! Hold me! Somebody, please care about me!" cries
Shinji and he turns away from Asuka, Rei and Misato.They don't answer him. 
Back in Misato's apartment, Asuka rests her head on the kitchentable.
"I want to be worth something to you. I want to be together with
you." says Shinji.
"Then don't do anything. Don't you dare come near me anymore. You
only hurt me..." replies Asuka.
"Asuka, help me. I must be with you so that I may be helped.
Can't you understand that?"Asuka stares at Shinji.
"You're a liar." replies Asuka.
Shinji is surprised by this comment. Asuka stands up andapproaches him.
"You don't care who you're with. You're scared of Misato,
Wondergirl and both your mother and father! All you've done is
run away to me!" exclaims Asuka."Help me..." moans Shinji.
"It's easier that way and you can't be hurt.""Please. Help...me..."
"You've never been able to love a stranger!" exclaims Asuka asshe pushes Shinji.
He falls on the floor, bringing the coffee machine down with him.
"You haven't even been able to love yourself!" adds Asuka as she
splashes hot coffee on his shirt
"You're pitiful..." says Asuka as she glares at Shinji.Shinji stands up slowly.
"Help. Help me. I want you to help me. Anyone, please help me!
Help! Help!" screams Shinji as he overturns the table.
"Help me! Don't leave me! Don't desert me! Don't kill me!"
screams Shinji as he throws a chair.
The chair lands at Asuka's feet. Shinji is out of breath.A long silence follows.
"No." says Asuka as she spits at Shinji.
Shinji is shocked at the revelation. For a long time, nothing
happens. Then, Shinji grabs Asuka by the throat with both hands
and begins to strangle her. As he adds more and more pressure,
the look in his eye becomes murderous and cold. 
The scene is replaced with Dr. Naoko Akagi strangling Rei I.
It now changes to crayon drawings drawn by a small child:
   - A red face which has a tusk.   - A boy in blue clothes who is in prison.
   - A girl in red clothes watching a red object.
   - A girl in red clothes who has a spear-shaped object and the
   boy in blue clothes.   - Two dead fish floating in a bucket.
   - The internal organs and bones of a dead dog.
   - A fish skeleton in a bottle.   - A red signal.   - The cat sleeping.
"No one understands me." says Shinji"No one understands you." repeats Rei. 
"I thought there was a world which would never faulter and be
unpleasant to live in."
"You solely believed that a stranger and yourself are the same."
"You betrayed me! You betrayed my hopes!"
"You've misunderstood from the very beginning. You believed init wrongly."
"Nobody needs me. Therefore, everyone should die."
"Then, what is your hand for?" asks Rei.
"Everyone is the same, even though I'm here or not. Nothing ever
changes. That's why everyone should die." replies Shinji.
"Then, what is your heart for?"
"I don't deserve to be here either. Therefore, I should alsodie."
"Then, why are you here?""Can I be here?""Without an answer." comes a voice.
Shinji screams.In the second announcement place, NERV is still monitoring what
is happening."The pilot's response has been approaching zero continuously!"
exclaims Makoto."The Eva series and the Geofront have passed the E-layer and are
continuing to ascend further." adds Shigeru.
"Current position is 220,000 km above ground and advancing to the
F-layer." comes a voice over the PA system.
"And all Eva's are still going strong!" adds Makoto.
"The anti-A.T field generated by Lilith is expanding further and
has begun to materialise!" exclaims Shigeru as the Geofront is
raised up to the atmosphere.
Out in space, Rei covers the Geofront with both hands, as if
embracing it. Her expression is of sadness.
"The anti-A.T.field has exceeded it's critical point!" criesMakoto.
"It's no good! The shape of each individual life can't be
maintained like this any longer!" adds Shigeru.
Rei spreads her 12 giant wings. The sun, moon and the earth are
aligned in a straight line.
"The gate of Gaff opens. Has the door of the beginning and the
end of the world finally opened?" asks Commander Fuyutski.
A teenage Rei has appeared at NERV headquarters.
"The world is full of sorrow. Emptiness encloses people. It fills
up lonely people's hearts." explains Rei as innumerable copies
of herself, dressed in school uniforms, stand beside each person.
The dead bodies of NERV and JSSDF staff explode into L.C.L. 
In the second announcement place, Makoto is aware of a presence.
He screams in terror at who he sees.
Rei, dressed in her school uniform, appears on Makoto's desk
on all fours. She then changes in Misato and throws herself at
him. As she kisses the horrified lieutenant, he explodes intoL.C.L.
Shigeru also screams at the sight of the blue haired girl. He
falls of his chair and hides under his desk. Behind him stand
dozens of naked Rei's. As they touch him, he explodes into L.C.L.
"Hey, Ikari. Have you meet Yui yet?" asks Commander Fuyutski.
Rei changes into Yui. In that moment, he explodes into L.C.L.
"Their A.T fields... Their A.T fields have disappeared! Is this
the answer that I was looking for?" asks Maya as she continuesworking.
Rei turns into Ritsuko.
"Maya..." says Ritsuko as she wraps Maya in a hug from behind.
Maya manages to type 'I need you' on her notebook.
"Dr. Akagi! Dr. Akagi! Dr. Akagi! Dr. Akagi!" cries Maya happily
before she explodes into L.C.L. 
In SEELE's meeting room, one monitor disappears after another.
"The beginning and the end is taking place simultaneously. It is
alright. This is perfect for all things." states Keel Lorenz as
the top half of his body explodes into L.C.L.
The entire lower half of his body was cybernetic. 
Lying on his back in Terminal Dogma is Gendou Ikari.
"I have been waiting for this moment for a long time. I finally
meet you, Yui." says Gendou as Yui appears beside him.
"To do what I did, I only ended up hurting Shinji when I was by
him. Therefore, I'd better do nothing." continues Gendou.
"You're scared of Shinji, aren't you?" asks Yui.
"I don't believe in being loved by a person. I don't have such
qualifications." replies Gendou.
Kaworu, dressed in his school uniform, appears beside Gendou.
"You're just running away. You reject the world before you were
hurt." says Kaworu.
"You're scared at the shapes that can't be seen in the eyes of
a person..." adds Yui.Rei, dressed in her school uniform, appears beside Gendou.
"You closed your heart because you were afraid of them." saysRei. 
Unit-01 grabs Gendou with its left hand.
"Then this is what I deserve. I'm sorry, Shinji." says Gendou
before Unit-01 bites off the top part of his body.
Rei, covered in bandages, picks up Gendou's glasses of the
ground. The child Rei, the bandaged teenage Rei and the naked
teenage Rei are standing together.
In space, a strange revelation is occurring. The Mass Production
model Eva's impale their own cores with their Lance of Longinus.
Their Rei faces contort in pain. A giant green cross light
appears all over earth. Lilith's forehead splits open and a
crack, looking much like a female reproductive organ, appears.
Unit-01, which became the Tree of Life, is sucked into the crack.
Inside of her, innumerable naked Rei's are swimming in the L.C.L.
The complementation of Shinji has not yet ended. 
"Take care. I can't come to like you." comes a woman's voice.
"Don't call me any more." says another.
"You're nosy. I don't want to get back on good terms with you atall."
"Sorry, it can't be done again.""What an idiot! This guy really is a loser!"
"Are you out of your mind? Think about your limitations."
"I still can't think of you more than a friend.""You shouldn't have been born!"
"Bye-bye. Don't you want to die quickly?""If only you weren't here..."
"Who is this child? I don't know him."
"Even if you are here, you're not the same."
"It's obvious, you're troublesome. It's unnecessary to care."
"Don't follow me any more. It's useless now. We're separating."
"To me, you're the most disgusting person to be alive."
"You were wrong, weren't you? No one associates with you."
"Go away. You don't belong in my life.""I must hate you. I don't need you."
"You're a coward!""You can stop doing it if it hurts you so much." says Misato.
"You can run away if that's unpleasant for you." adds Rei.
"Do you want it to be easy?" asks Misato.
"Do you want to achieve tranquility?" asks Rei.
"Do you want to become one with me?"
"Do you want to become one with my heart and body?"
"Even when I die, I'll still refuse you!" exclaims Asuka.
"I've been wondering..." says Shinji."Uh-huh?" replies Misato."What's a dream?"
"A dream?" demands Asuka."Dream." replies Rei."Are you pleasure?" asks a voice.
"I don't know it. I don't know reality very well." says Shinji.
"You can't grasp it between a strange reality and your truth."says Rei.
"I don't know where my happiness is." continues Shinji.
"You can find your happiness only in your dreams." adds Rei.
"Therefore, this isn't reality. No one exists in this world."
"Then, it's a dream." says Rei."Therefore, I am not here." replies Shinji.
"You took revenge at reality by the convenient fabrication of
this one for yourself.""Can't I do that?"
"You're running away from reality and you're lying about thetruth."
"Can't I dream for myself?"
"It's not a dream. You only try to make up for your emptiness."
"Where are my dreams?" asks Shinji."They are in reality." replies Rei.
"Where is my reality?""Where your dream will finish."
In space, red blood begins to flow from Lilith's neck.
Shinji is lying on his back with Rei sitting on top of him. They
are both naked and it seems they are having sex, except their
reproductive organs are unified. Rei places her right hand on
Shinji's chest and it passes through him until it makes contact
with his heart. Their hearts and bodies are one.
"Mmm... Ayanami? Where am I?" asks Shinji.
"This is the sea of L.C.L. This is the sea that is the source of
life. The world lost it's A.T field and therefore, everything
living has lost it's shape. The vague world where one didn't know
one's own and a stranger's boundaries. The frail world where one
is anywhere, and one is not there." explains Rei."Am I dead?" asks Shinji.
"No. Everyone has become one. This is the world which you alwayswanted."
"But...this isn't right. I thought something strange was goingon..."
"If you hope for the existence of strangers, then the wall of
your heart will draw people apart once more. The strangers that
your heart fears..."
"It doesn't matter..." replies Shinji and pulls Rei's hand from
his heart and shakes hands with her."Thank you." says Shinji.
Shinji is resting his head on Rei's lap. They are still naked.
"I have only felt pain. That's why I ran away from reality. But,
there wasn't any happiness to the place I ran away to. Because
I'm not there, it's the same as if no one is here." explainsShinji.
"Aren't you worried that the A.T field will hurt you and your
strangers again?" asks Kaworu, dressed in his school uniform, ashe appears.
"Yes, I am. But, what do you mean to my heart?" asks Shinji.
Shinji, Rei and Kaworu are standing in a field. Shinji and Rei
are now dressed in their school uniforms.
"We are 'hope' in which they may understand each other." says Rei
as each person who has dissolved into L.C.L appears on the field,
one after the other.
"With the word 'like'." adds Kaworu as the field changes to aroad.
"But, it's all make believe. It's what I believe freely. It's the
only things I can believe in. It can't last forever. They'll
betray me someday. They'll desert me..." replies Shinji sadly as
a souvenir photograph appears showing Shinji, Asuka, Rei, Misato,
Ritsuko, Kaji, Makoto, Shigeru, Maya, Touji, Kensuke, Hikari andPenpen.
"I thought that I wanted to meet them again. I thought that my
feeling were true..." continues Shinji.
In space, Lilith dies. Unit-01 breaks out from Lilith's eye and
spreads its 12 giant wings. Lilith's head is ripped off from her
body and blood flows vigorously from her neck.
"There is a reality in a place you aren't aware off. There is a
reality in your dream." says Kaworu."There is truth in your heart." adds Rei
"A person's heart creates that person's shape."
"The new image will change the shape of the heart and person. The
image will give the power to create a person's future and the
flow of time." says Rei as Lilith's head and right arm fall backdown to earth.
"But, you must will it so that you may change yourself." addsKaworu.
"Therefore, take it within your power if you lose sight of
yourself. Even if you lose your vision or if you take astranger's..."
Unit-01 pulls the Lance of Longinus from its mouth. The copies

turn into stone and fall back down to earth.
"Anyone can return to their human shape as long as they do it
with their heart." explains Rei.
"There is no anxiety. All life has the power to be restored and
a heart that tries to live. Because they are alive, anywhere can
become a paradise. As long as they try to live. The chance to
become happy is anywhere." adds Yui as Unit-01 folds all of its
12 wings and stops moving.
"It is still alright. As long as there is a sun, moon and earth."continues Yui.
Yui, who is dressed in her white lab coat, stands opposite to
Shinji, who is dressed in his school uniform. In the background,
the earth is visible.
"Have you been alright?" asks Yui as she touches Shinji's cheek.
"I don't know where my happiness is. I keep thinking about why
I was born as well. But, I must remind myself that they're
natural thoughts all the time. Because I am here by myself..."
Shinji appears on the surface of the giant sea of L.C.L in which
Lilith's fractured skull is in. Yui goes down into the sea.
"But, what did mother do?" asks Shinji2003 AD.
Standing near lake Ishino is Kouzou Fuyutski and Yui Ikari.
"Is your purpose of creating Eva just as an imitation of God?"asks Kouzou.
"Yes. A person can only live on earth. But, Eva can live anywhere
together with the person's hearts that resides within it. When
50 hundred million years pass, it will still exist, even when the
earth, moon and sun have vanished. I wish that I could live
forever. Even if it would mean I would be the only one. Even
though it would be very lonely..." replies Yui.
"Do you want to say that the evidence that a person was alive is
left eternally?" asks Kouzou.
In space, Unit-01 and the Lance of Longinus float away deep into
the voids of space."Good-bye, mother." says Shinji.
