THE END OF EVANGELION

ONE MORE FINAL:

I need you.

The Third Impact is over. It has failed. Back on earth, all of
the souls Lilith's collected now orbit earth. A giant sea of
L.C.L surrounds a small patch of land which was part of the
Geofront. The cross pendant that Misato gave Shinji is nailed
into a headstone. The Mass Production model Eva's, who are now
stone figures and look as if they were crucified, are stuck in
the sand.
Shinji, dressed in his school uniform, is lying next to Asuka,
who is dressed in her plug suit. Asuka's right arm is bandaged
and so is her left eye.
Shinji finally wakes up and sees the seaside. He catches a
glimpse of Rei, dressed in her school uniform, but she quickly
vanishes. His gaze then lands on Asuka and his anger flares up
within him.
He straddles Asuka, wraps his hands around her neck and begins
to strangle her. Asuka opens her right eye. As she feels the air
in her lungs beginning to stale, she touches Shinji's cheek in
an effort to stop him from choking her.
Slowly, Shinji eases his grip on her throat. He then groans and
begins to cry, his tears falling on Asuka's cheeks. Shinji groans
again and lays himself on top of Asuka, sobbing on her chest.
Asuka stares at Shinji with disgust.
"I feel sick..." mutters Asuka.
