Master Pages

1. Approach Mastery with at least some humility. Consider the gift Your slave gives You in granting You control of her mind and body. make a few comments about her as she serves. Not alot, but some so she knows You are at least reading them.

2. Know that the slave controls the ultimate limits of her submission. You may test her limits..may be even encouraged to do so..but respect her fears. Grant her a safeword, discuss limits, hers and Yours. Most slaves like to be forced a little at times, just be careful not to overdo it.

3. Read up on Gor. Look at the Gor web pages, find a couple of Norman books to read. Gor is more complicated than it first appears, and many Masters are less educated in it than are their slaves.

4. Consider the concept of honor. A Gor Master is nothing without it.

5. Consider the concept of pride. A Master's pride is in Himself and His honor, His slaves pride in her Master and in her submission.

6. Examine the rooms You frequent. Somes are strict, some relaxed. Fit Your behavior to the camp or tavern You are in. Do not expect the room to change to fit You.

7. Be polite. Remember the word for stranger in Gor is the same as the one for enemy.

8. Show respect. Do not abuse the property of other Masters. When speaking to a slave find out who her Master is, what limits He has placed on her service, and respect those limits. One slave may do all, even furr another Master...one may not even show her heat and both be red silk.

9. Know your caste, color, and history...the question keeps coming up, and doh? isn't much of an answer.

10. Gorean Masters don't take a lot of crap from anyone..(see 4 & 5) but this is VT, and any battle here is of wits...try to come armed.

11. Don't get into fights with Mistresses. First, it looks bad fighting with a woman, second, being a Mistress is tough in Gor. If the Mistress has been around a while she may be VERY well armed for a battle of wits......if not She will most likely say something that gets Her face stripped, and many would rather die than be a slave. BUt....If She starts it...go get Her..it is Her fault.

12. The same thing applies to slaves. it's a tough life sometimes. Don't confuse submission with weakness. Or with stupidity..many slaves are very smart, and can make a better slave by being so. A girl choosing to serve and submit to the Master is a gift. On the other hand, they are not to be spoiled either, but reward good behavior and You will get more of it.

13. If Your slave is bad and must be punished, do it and get it over with. If You keep on it forever, she will hate You for it. If she is wrong and You do it fast, then show her love for her good actions, she will love and respect You.

14. Be careful about having too many slaves. Some Masters come to Gor and get all excited about having lots of slaves. You can, but be sure You have some time for each. If she feels neglected, she will be unhappy and be bad, pout, run away, get another Master or may even try to kill You. How many depends on the Master, and the slaves. Some do not do well with one, others have 2 or 3 and do fine. More than that is probably a bad idea unless You are an Ubar or online all day and the girls are at different times, or really like each other,,,,and that is rare. If You do have more than one, try to show equal love to all. If You have a favorite and it is known, it is best to not restrict the other girls. Then they can play with others and not feel so left out. Some girls are just too jealous. In Nomads of Gor it is said that "few will have more than one woman to a wagon. A Man can sleep better that way".

15. If You do have more than one expect some fights, but do not be in a hurry to stop them. Sometime it is better for the girls to work it out. "a master takes no interest in the squables of slaves, it is beneath him. He of course would not approve of the girls maimed, blinded or disfigured." Nomads p.138

But if the fights go on and on, everyone becomes unhappy, so a Master must step in then. 16. Gor is supposed to be enjoyable. Enjoy it. Let others enjoy it. Or go elsewhere.
