A girl with the powers of an Esper but the image of a human, Terra is a unique individual that is half Esper, half human. She has natural magic invested in her. She is the first member of your party with few magic spells, but will develop more as time progresses. When Terra learns of her abilities, she will learn to Morph. This turns her into an Esper for a limited time, which doubles her magic and fight attacks. This will become handy in later battles.
Locke is a "treasure hunter" whos abilities become useful in battle. He first joins the party when locking for Terra in the mines. He will join up with
the Moogles to fend of the army after Terra. He has a "Steal" command that will allow you to take an item from an enemy. He can also 'Capture" when he gets
the Theif Glove. This command allows him to steal and attack in the same command. The Theif Ring also rasies his ability to steal.
Edgar is the King of Figaro. He attempts to make passes at many ladies of the kingdom, but comes up unsuccessful (the rumors are very shocking....). He is allies with the Empire at first, but when he learns of the Empires evil, he joins the Returns (he was half with the Returners in the first place). Edgar and his kingdom are very mechanically oriented. His special skills involve the "Tools" command. His eight weapons are:
Sabin is the buff man of your group who's friend, Vargas, killed his master and now is after your party. When the fight is against you and him, just go to "Blitz" and press Left, Right, Left. This will end the fight and make him a permenant part of your group. Start building his levels to learn more attacks. Here are all of his Blitzes.
Banon is a temporary member of your party who is a major factor in the Returners resistance against the Empire. He can cast "Health", which fills up some of your party's HP.
A faithful knight of Doma whose family and king were cruelly poisoned by Kefka. He is now seeking revenge with the Returners. He does need to learn a thing or two about mechanics. He helps fight with Shadow and Cyan in Cyan's scenario. His attacks consist of Sword Techniques, or SwrdTech. He can do 8 different skills that use the sword. He learns all of his skills at Doma Castle when the group takes a nap. You wake up as the last member in your party. Retrive all of the other members and fight Larry, Curly, and Moe, an even tougher Phantom Train, and Wrexsoul. Defeat Wrexsoul by casting Vanish on his little cronies, the use X-Zone and you should win. If not try again. After Cyan learns to let go of his family, he learns all of the technics and gets a new weapon. His 8 SwrdTech abilities are:
Gau is a boy-turned animal when he was cast away by his father. He learns the ways of the animals and also learns their attacks. To get him in
your group, buy some "Dried Meat" and toss it to him. He will then join your group. Build his skills on the Veldt and he will learn more powerful attacks.
Use the "Jump" command to have him learn an enemy's attacks when in the Veldt. You have no choice of enemies. Then fight until he reappears. Carry a
little Dried Meatwith you to ensure you regain him in your group. Use the "Rage" command to use the attacks of one of the enemies.
A general to the Returners, she turns traitor and is beaten by the Empires troops. Fortunetly, Locke saves her from certain death and vows to protect her with all of his heart. When she arrives at Narshe, though, Cyan speaks as she is a traitor (which she partically is) and the whole party begins to turn their backs on her, until she destroys Kefka's magic and his Magitek Labratory. In the world of Ruin, she is your first party member. Find fish until Cid ("Grandpa") dies and she sails away on a raft. Visit the island later for a Magicite piece. You soon learn that Celes has magic artifically planted in her. She also has the ability to Runic (if she has the proper sword). This allows her to absorb magic attacks and turn them into MP's.
Mog is the last of the Moogles. To get him in the World of Balance, go into the desolated Narshe (after the floating continent). Go into the treasure room and you will find him take the last box (inside is a mere Gold Hairpin). Chase him to the top of the mountain and you will be able to choose between Mog and the Gold Hairpin (you will find and be able to buy Gold Hairpins, so you should probably save Mog). And after some funny context (so I'm gonna' have to....join your party!), he will join your party. Mog learns different dances. Here are all 8 of them:
This is your friend from Thasma. His daughter plays with the local kid at his house, but the kid (who was casting "Fire" on the bush) manages
to start a fire. He joins your party in order to save his (granddaughter?). The enemies in the house are basically fire enemies. If you are having
problems beating some of the enemies (or you have plenty of Tincitures), you can let him use his "Aqua Rake" Lore to knock out the guys. His
special is Lore. You learn different Lore as you fight. Make sure you try to give him an Economiser (either at the Collosium with the Gem Box
or in the forest north of the Veldt, where you have to beat a Brachiosaur) so his Lore attacks only cost one MP.
Gogo is the strange character (It's context reads...."Is it male? Is it female? Or should we ask?). He...I mean, it has the ability to "Mimic".
He will mimic the last character's move. If you put him behind someone with a powerful attack (like Sabin), he will mimic his (or her) attack.
Have him mimic Sabin's Bum Rush and the party probably will have taken at least 10,000 HP's of the other party!
This abomindable snowman is a self-controlled member of your group. He attacks when his meter is filled and will do special attacks.
For example, if you give him the Rage Ring, he will be able to throw people, himself and som sort of wierd anchor at you. If he has the Blizzard Orb,
he will shoot of a screen-covering ball of freeze, damging some enemies. He may only do these attacks sometimes, when you least expect it.
