Lacey
"Remember that guy from the mall?" Lacey asked. "The one you hid from?" Steph asked. "Yeah that's him. Anyways, he asked me out." Lacey added. "That's cool. When?" "Tonight." "So does that mean you're not coming to Millenium with us?" Steph asked. "Yeah, but don't worry I'll be there with J, I'll look for you." Lacey said.
Jacqui
She needed to find Amber and tell her about her plan to find her a boyfriend. She'd made a list of potential boyfriends for her in English class and she wanted to tell her. She passed Steph talking to Lacey. "Hey you guys, have you seen Amber?" She asked. "No but did you hear Steph's going to California for summer vacation." Lacey said. "That sounds cool." Jacqui said. "We'll go with you to look for Amber, I need to talk to her too." Steph said. They found Amber talking to a big group of people including Nikki, Sean and Ritchie. "Amber! I've been looking for you." Jacqui said. "Yeah me too." Steph said. "Jacqui can tell you her news first.""Ok I figured out why you never want to spend time with me and Abs when we go out." Jacqui said.
Amber
Amber stay calm. she told herself. Maybe Jacqui was wrong about the reason. Maybe she didn't really know. "I finally understand why you're jealous of me and Abs." Jacqui said. Oh no. She definatly knew. Amber couldn't run away or anything. Probably Jacqui had found the fake note from Lauren Moore that she'd written. Probably Jacqui had recognized the handwriting. "I'm so sorry Jacqui, I can't help being in love with Abs, he's such a great guy. And I can't help being jealous everytime I see you two kissing." Amber said. She saw Jacqui's eyes widening as if she was hearing this for the first time. "How did you find out I'm in love with him anyways?" Amber asked seeing Jacqui was still speechless. "You just told me, you little bitch!" Jacqui yelled and most of the people walking in the hall turned around to look at them. "How dare you try to steal my boyfriend!?!!" Jacqui slapped her. Amber was shocked but she quickly recovered and hit Jacqui back. "Calm down girls." Ritchie said coming between them. "Oh shut up Ritchie." Both of them said."Why shouldn't I be mad at that fucking whore, pretending to be my best friend, and all along trying to break up me and my boyfriend!" Jacqui said furiously."C'mon Jacqui let's get to class." Steph pulled on her arm. "After all remember Abs is still your boyfriend, right?" "Yeah." Jacqui said. "But I still wanna beat the shit outta her, I hate backstabbers." "We all do." Bianca said joining in on their conversation, judging from her look she was very happy, she loved hearing gossip so she could spread it around the school. "shut up bianca and go away." Jacqui said.
Ritchie
he was at Millenium with Steph, Katie and Sean looking at all the happy couples dancing there. "Don't these couples get on your nerves, they really annoy me acting all lovey-dovey, not that I'd mind having a boyfriend but I hate seeing couples when I'm single." Katie said to Steph,Ritchie and Sean. "Yeah. Being dateless sucks." They all agreed. "At least your girlfriend didn't dump you cuz of a drinking problem that doesn't exist. And for a guy who's best friend has a crush on." Sean said taking a sip of his drink. "You could be worse off." Steph said. "I fell for a guy who has a girlfriend and always sent me mixed signals." "At least your situation isn't as bad as mine." Ritchie said. "Everyone thinks I'm gay so I can never get a date." "Let's face it. All of our love lives suck." Steph said. "let's order some drinks."
After about an hour they were all a little drunk. "Hey Ritchie let's go dance." Steph said. "C'mon." They stumbled onto the dance floor. When the song was over Steph said. "Ritchie let's kiss." "sure." Ritchie said and they kissed. "Look the gay guy's not gay!" Someone from school yelled. "Wow Steph, you're a gay, I mean great kisser."
Katie
This was boring. Steph and Ritchie had gone off to dance and Sean was hitting on some girls who were rejecting him. Sean came back and sat next to her. "How ya doing?" "I'm ok but it's so noisy in here, why don't we go outside?" Katie suggested. "Yeah sure. I think Rich and Steph went outside a while ago, I lost them." Sean said. They went outside where they found Steph and Ritchie. "Hey Sean, Katie." Steph said. "Hey." "This is boring maybe we should do something." Steph said. "Yeah. I dare you to kiss the next person who walks by us." Katie said to Steph. "Ok." Steph waited until some guy passed and went up and started kissing him. Then he said something and they walked off together. After a while Steph came back. "Now it's your turn Katie." She said. "sure." They waited till some guy passed them. Katie walked over to him.She smelled alchohol on his breath. He looked sorta familiar, she couldn't remember from where. Well what the hell. She thought, said hi and kissed him. He pulled away. "Who are you?" "I don't know just shut up and enjoy the kiss." She said as she started kissing him again. He didn't seem to mind.
Lacey
She went outside with their drinks. J had gotten drunk so she'd told him to take a walk and she'd gotten him some caffiene so he'd sober up to drive her home. She went outside and looked for him and finally found him. Kissing another girl. As the girl turned around she saw it was Katie. What was she doing kissing J? She didn't even know him. Well it didn't matter Why she was kissing him, it mattered that she Was kissing him. She went up to them and spilled her drink on both their heads. They didn't seem to mind so she went to call a taxi.
Katie
For some reason Lacey wasn't speaking to her. Last night she'd called her and as soon as she'd heard her voice she'd hung up. "Lacey!" She called when she saw her on her way to Drama. "Go away, I'm not talking to you." Lacey said. "But could you please tell me why?" Katie said. "You know perfectly well why. Now go away." Lacey said and walked off.
Jacqui
"Hi Abs." She said sitting down next to him on the bed. "Why weren't you in school today?" She asked. "I don't really feel well." He said. "I just thought I'd take a day off." "Well you didn't miss much." She said deciding it would be better not to tell him about the little incident with Amber. She'd tell him when he felt better and if Amber wanted to tell him it was her problem. "I need to go to the bathroom." He said and got went into the bathroom. Jacqui got off the bed and walked over to his desk to clean it up a little. She hated when stuff was messy. His whole room was messy but she'd just clean his desk so she could at least sit there. She moved some stuff around. She then noticed a sheet of purple paper under one of his cd's. She moved the cd and saw girly script handwriting with a big lipstick kiss at the bottom. She read the letter:
Abs, you can't keeep on lying to Jacqui, I want you and we need to be together. I'll never forget that night at the party, think what we would've done if Jacqui hadn't come in just then, I need you Abs, please, you're much better off with me then with that Jacqui bitch. I hope you'll realize that and tell her the truth soon. Love always~Lauren~ xoxo
"What the hell is this?" She asked when Abs came out of the bathroom. "I have no idea. Honest." He glanced at the paper. "You better learn to lie better maybe you should take lessons from your friend Amber." She took her purse and left, slamming the door behind her.
Abs
Why did Jacqui freak like that? He asked himself. He read the letter that supposedly made her angry. It was signed Lauren Moore but it wasn't her handwriting. Oh Well, he'd explain to Jacqui later. Just then the phone rang. It was Amber. "Abs I need to talk to you right now." Amber said in a weird voice. "Can't it wait? I don't really feel well." Abs replied. "No, you gotta come right now it's important." "Ok, ok just give me 10 minutes." "Sure." "see ya."
Amber
Amber waited nervously for Abs. She couldn't believe what she was gonna tell him but she knew she had to before she lost her courage. She heard someone at the door and went to open it. It was Abs. "Hey." He said. "What was so important that it couldn't wait?" Amber took a deep breath. "This." She said and kissed him.
3 MONTHS LATER:
Steph
"Lacey! I'm back!" Steph said when Lacey answered the phone. "Oh my god, Steph, it's so great to hear from you!" Lacey said. "I'm so sorry I didn't call you a lot while I was in Cali, it's just that the calls are so expensive and I was so busy, catching up with all my old friends." Steph said. "Well it's ok, important thing is that you're here now, in time for the party I'm throwing for you tonight." Lacey said. "Lace, you're throwing a party for me? That's so sweet of ya, thanks." Steph replied. "Well you know how I love parties, especially throwing them and we all haven't seen you in so long so it's gonna be great. I invited loads of our other friends from school and of course our group, and well it's gonna be great so be ready at 10:00." Lacey said. "Ok. I also have something really important to tell you." Steph added. "Sure. Bye." "Bye.
LATER THAT NIGHT:
Amber
"Are we going to Lacey's party tonight?" Abs asked her. "Sure why not. It's gonna be great seeing Steph after so long." Amber said. Life can't get any better than this. Amber thought. Kissing Abs had been the smartest thing she'd ever done. After they'd kissed Abs had told her that there had been a time when he'd had feelings for her but he thought she didn't want him so they'd stayed friends, but after they kissed he'd said he'd try a few dates and luckily it had worked out great. The only bad thing was that Jacqui wasn't talking to her. Oh well, she didn't need Jacqui, she had they greatest boyfriend on earth. But still, it made her sad that Jacqui wasn't talking to her. She wished there was something she could do about it. But I can't have everything in life. She thought.
Steph
Steph was really glad that Lacey was throwing this party for her, but after the big news she didn't really feel like celebrating. Of course he was really happy when they'd told her but it made her sad thinking about all the people she'd be leaving behind. Especially one person who'd never love her the way he loved another girl. "Scott!" She said when she saw him. "Where's Mel?" "She couldn't make it tonight." He answered. "We should talk a little, let's go somewhere quiet." He said. "Ok, we really should talk." She agreed. He led her to what Lacey called 'the make out room' cuz whenever she had parties all the couples who wanted some quiet to make out would go there. When they went there was nobody in the room. She sat next to him on one of the couches. "So how was America?" He asked. "Great." She replied. They were quiet for a few minutes. "Scott?" "Yeah?" "I gotta tell you something." She said. "What?" "Well you know how I went to the US for the summer. Anyway to make a long story short, my dad's work transferred him for 3 months to see how he did and he did ok and his work decided to move him to Cali." Steph explained. Scott looked shocked. "You mean you're leaving?" "Yeah." "Like forever?" She nodded. "Unless my dad's work decides to move him back which probably won't happen." "Why didn't you tell me this before?" He asked. "My parents just told me this afternoon, they wanted to see how I liked Cali and when I said it was great Dad decided he'd accept the transfer." She said. "Did you tell Lacey?" He asked. "Nope, I'm gonna tell her soon but you're the first one I told." She said. "When are you leaving?" He asked. "In two weeks, and we probably won't get to see each other after tonight cuz I'll be so busy packing and stuff." She said. "Scott?" "Yeah?" "I have to tell you something, I know I keep on telling you to stay with Mel, but I have feelings for you that I tried to push away but I can't." Steph said. "Steph, you know I have feelings for you too and since we'll probably never see each other again, I gotta do this." Scott said. "What?" He moved his face closer to hers and kissed her passionately.
TWO WEEKS LATER:
Steph
Steph stared at England dissapearing beneath the plane. I'll never forget all the memories and people here in England. She thought. Not in a million years.
