so let's assume that i am not as wealthy as kenny g... well, i got this yas-23 model yamaha alto horn-ehh*, i own a wilson soprano, and i have a selmer soprano sax..it's all good and i aint even madd..but it's not what you have..it's how you play it! right? right? and>>> in the words of the extrordinary john lennon: "all you need is love." ( and some cash...)

A BAND? like rubber-band? head band? band-aid?

If you are currently located within the depths of this website than either you absolutely love issue 10 or you just have an unknown mouse-clicking disorder. Well, either way.. i can't stress enough to you that i adore each and every one of you fans that keep faith in us. in a way, you all are like part of the band. i thank you sincerely. Lately, it's been truly a knarly learning experience, and a generally opaque situation. i never exactly know what the band has got in store. we are that spontaneous. definately a superrad adventure being part of a band. whether we journey through the perils of opinionation in newly-found brother-hood, or just continously consuming slurpees and jack in the box tacos like there is no tomorrow, every last thing we do together forces us to grow. we nurture each other you might say. so, cheers to all my band mates. i admire each one of you in several ways. sorry i don't casually show it, but i do. It's all about the music.* i am from a musical family, so carrying out the traditions of creating compositional pieces is not unfamiliar to me. it's primal instinct. to you, i apologize that i am not embellishing you with my life story of how i got into music. i would much rather have a one- way conversation with you as a friend, and not a fan that lives under my calliber. Get me? Besides, if you wish to become closer to to issue 10 as a fan, than do what fans do and go to our shows!!! (*try gigs*), but i do want to pay gratitude to those who shaped and sculpted me into the musician i am today: Earth Wind and Fire, Parliament Funkadelic, T.O.P., stevie wonder, charlie parker, john coltrane, washington grover jr., the roots, talib kweli and mos def, black eyed peas, jurassic 5, incubus, charlie hunter, dave matthews band, davina, and ronnie-lee and the blues family. without exposure to everything,universally, there is no room for variation and flavour. everthing is everything and also an element that pursues music in further diagonals and directions that you and i might not ever get the chance to understand. like me, music will never stop growing, as i can never stop growing from it. i am honored to be making it and i am greatful that those who choose to grow with it do so. so long.. i bid you adu'...
