The Defector was originally planed to be a game in which 15 players would against each other for a prize. One of the 15 was selected by the Administrator to serve as the Defector. During the pre round set up, many players back out and that led to the 12 player limit that we have now. These twelve people were locked into this manor expecting a nice little game until the taunts of the Defector started pouring in. The game took a new face. The players ran about completely clueless on who the Defector truly was. Persecution was placed on numerous people, including the Administrators. Clues were lying about yet, the players were still oblivious to who the Defector was.
Besides having to find out who the Defector was, the players were exposed to a numerous amount of challenges. These challenges included such things as: a simple guessing game, complex logical problems, and questions that test their knowledge about one another. These challenges provided the players an opportunity to survive another round, but these challenges were nothing compared to "The Exam". The Exam composed of 11 questions dealing with what the defector did, experienced and said. These questions ultimately decided who would live and who would die that phase, as the lowest scorer was killed immediately by the Defector.
One by one, players fell to the wayside. The number of living players dwindled until there were two: a sole survivor and the Defector. In round 1, the final showdown was between Danny (player) and Brian (Defector). The Final exam consisted of 10 questions that tested every single aspect of life in the game. In the end, the player defeated the Defector and he walked away the victor.
This time the player was able to come out as the winner, but would the new group of players be as lucky? Defector 2: Betrayal Revisited draws ever closer. |
