Tea: Todd and I need to discuss the past so we can move on to the future...separately.
Del: So, we're staying tonight?
Tea: Would you mind staying on the boat?
Del: Maybe I should go back to Hawaii.
Tea: I'm only staying for one night so Todd and I can talk. Nothing more will happen between us tonight. I guarantee it.
Del: If you want to stay here longer, you don't have to pretend with me.
Tea: One night is as long as I'll stay this time. My mind is made up.
Del: If your mind changes during the night I won't think less of you.
Tea: I won't give into Todd's whims this time.
Del: He wanted you to stay -- you're staying.
Tea: I'm doing this for me, not for him. I need to know why he handled things between us the way he did last summer.
Del: What if he doesn't give you the answers you want.
Tea: I can live with never knowing, but I have to try to find out why he couldn't choose me.
Del: Maybe this is his way of letting you know that he's choosing you now.
Tea: His final option to choose me left with him on that raft last year.
Del: I hate the creep, you know that, but maybe you should give the guy a break.
Tea: Don't defend him to me now. I'm trying to stay mad at him.
Del: It's not working. I can tell. You're still in love with him. You're still desperately hoping that he's in love with you.
Tea: I want a better good-bye. That's all that I'm expecting of Todd this time.
Del: Knowing Manning's history, it's probably a good thing that you're keeping your expectations low this time.
Tea: You'll be okay spending the night on the boat?
Del: Just give me a chance to threaten Manning's life if he hurts you again and I'll be out of your way.
Todd: Death threat received. Go away.
[Tea and Del both look toward Todd, startled by his presence.]
Del: You're good at sneaking up on people, aren't you?
Todd: It's a talent.
Del: One that served you well in the past, according to your rap sheet.
Todd: Bringing up my past won't work. Tea already knows everything. She wants to be with me anyway.
Tea: This is only for one night, remember?
Todd: Don't forget totally platonic.
Tea: Trust me, I won't.
Todd: We'll see about that.
Del: Are you sure you want to do this, Tea?
Tea: Don't worry. I'll be safe. In the morning, we'll go back to Hawaii and continue our vacation.
Todd: Hawaii's overrated.
Tea: I certainly prefer all the luxuries Hawaii offers over being stranded on a deserted island for months.
Todd: This time is different. This time I made sure you'd have all the stuff you like having, including me all to yourself for the next week.
Tea: I'm only staying one night, and we're not renewing our relationship this time. We're here to say good-bye.
Todd: Get rid of your brother and meet me in the cave.
[Todd walks away. Tea watches him for several moments before returning her attention to her brother.]
Tea: Don't look at me like that. I know what I'm doing.
Del: You're throwing your life away for a man who doesn't deserve it.
Tea: I'm not giving up my life for him this time. I'm only giving up one night.
Del: If he wants you to stay for a week, we both know you will.
Tea: I have more willpower than you think I do.
Del: Prove me wrong.
Tea: I will...in the morning.
Del: I get the message. I'll leave you to your Neanderthal.
Tea: Thank you for putting up with me...and with Todd
Del: You're my sister. I'll put up with anything for you...even Todd Manning. Go cave in the cave. I'll meet you back here in the morning so you can tell me you're staying for the week.
Tea: I'll surprise you...and Todd.
Del: I would tell you to follow your heart but I know where that would lead you.
Tea: So do I. I haven't forgotten what Todd did to me. I never will.
