[Minutes later...
Todd pounces toward the door as Del unlocks and opens it. For a few seconds he glimpses Tea before the door closes behind her brother.]
Todd: Get out of my way, Delmonico.
Del: She doesn't want to see you.
Todd: She's confused. I'll clear things up for her.
Del: You'll stay out of that room, or you'll be spending the night in jail.
[Antonio joins the men.]
Antonio: That's a good idea. Let's stop playing around and take Manning where he belongs.
Todd: I think it's time my newspaper ran another expose on the corrupt Llanview police department.
Antonio: I'm not afraid of any lies you might print in your rag.
Todd: The only reason I never printed what I already know about you is because I knew it would piss off Delgado. You better hope this works out between us or you'll be the one going to jail, not me.
Antonio: For what exactly? You don't have anything on me. I've always done everything by the book.
Todd: What's that book called that you and all the other self-righteous, hypocritical members of Llanview's not-so-finest are always squawking about -- The Corrupt Cop Code? Personally, I think my readers will be very interested in knowing how you blackmailed the police commissioner into letting you onto the force to begin with. That's right, I know all about it. Unless you want it on the front page of the next edition, get your ugly face out of my sight.
[From the look on Antonio's face, Del realizes that Todd's accusations about him are correct. He puts aside his disappointment in the younger man and returns his focus to his sister.]
Del: Manning, let's focus on what's most important to both of us. Tea doesn't want to see you.
Todd: Not after you bad mouthed me in there.
Del: I didn't have to say anything. She made her decision on her own. She wants you to leave. You should show her some respect.
Todd: So she can marry some loser named Edgar? No way. Delgado is mine!
[The three men all look toward the doorway as they hear the door opening. Todd smiles slightly, noting that Tea is no longer wearing her wedding gown.]
Todd: I knew it!
Tea: Knew what? That I'm yours? I'm not yours. I'm not anyone's. You got what you came here for. My wedding is off. Now it's time for you to go away.
Todd: I came here for you.
Tea: Your actions, and attitude, today have done nothing but remind me what a mistake choosing to be with you was in the past. I won't make that mistake again.
Todd: Forget whatever your brother was saying about me. Think about what we had.
Tea: We could have had everything. You chose something else.
Todd: But, now, I'm back.
Tea: But, I'm no longer interested. I heard your threats to Antonio.
Todd: It's all true. He's as sleazy as all the others. But, I promise, I'll forget about printing the story, if you come back to me.
Tea: I'm not going back to you. Or, to put it in terms you understand, here's a headline for you: 'Delgado Dumps Dumbass Deserter.' Now if you'll excuse me, I have a sweet man's heart to break.
Todd: What about my heart? You used to care about that.
Tea: You were always trying so hard to convince me that you never had a heart. Congratulations! Because of the way you end our relationship last time, you finally succeeded.
[Tea walks away from the men. A hurt Todd walks away in the opposite direction.]
