11-23-03 News from 97.1 the Eagle
Korn fans no longer have to wait another day to get the rock group's new album, according to a press release. Due to their album 'Take a Look in the Mirror' being leaked to the internet, Korn has decided to release the album ahead of the originally scheduled Tuesday, November 25 release date. “Korn fans have always been rabid when it comes to our music and if they can’t wait, we’re going to work with the label to put it out as fast as we can. We want our fans to hear the album the way it was meant to be heard,” says Korn's Jonathan Davis. Korn is the second rock band next to Metallica that has had to change its album release date due to an internet leak.

hey-rock news from 97.1 the eagle
Stone Temple Pilots Over Grunge rockers Stone Temple Pilots have confirmed they've officially split up. The Plush band, who were superstars in the 1990s, have been plagued by troubled times both personally and career-wise - they failed to replicate the astounding success of their first two albums, and on-off frontman Scott Weiland has developed a heroin addiction and many concomitant legal problems. And the remaining band members have finally decided to call it quits. Lead guitarist Dean DeLeo says, "Along with the beauty of STP there was a dark trail that went right along with it. There's not much I can look back on and say I really enjoyed, without wondering if the floor was going to drop from under us." Concerts: Chevelle, Dredge, Campfire Girls @ Gypsy Tea Room Monday November 24 Mushroomhead, Avenged Sevenfold, The Agony Scene and Jacknife @ Dreamworld Friday November 28 Stillborn Nursery, The Destro, Shadowed Beneath, Headfire, Dryline and D'Sivy @ Dreamworld Saturday November 22 For More info from 96.1 the eagle email click on the link on the right side bottom! Thanks, Kay~K
