Can he succeed in erasing the traumatic memories, which continue to assail her? Can they make an absolutely fresh beginning?
Movie Review: This is a great film for one reason- Hrithik. For his debut film, he has proved himself in so many different ways. He can dance, fight and he emotes like a dream. He also does a double role so it shows his amazing versatility. An amazing soundtrack matches Hrithik’s performance. As for Amisha, the poor girl can’t act anything like Hrithik. She’s amazing at making herself look good and for showing as much skin as possible, perfect for Bollywood! She should do well as she has a hit debut film. Hrithik seems to have worked wonderfully under his father and he deserves all the success he has received.
Music: Music is written by Rajesh Roshan, Hrithik’s uncle. For the romantics, listen to Na Tum Jano Na Hum sung beautifully by Lucky Ali. Ek Pal Ka Jeena is a great dance track, with wonderful lyrics and Hrithik’s moves-WOW! (Shabhash Farah!)
The title track can get annoying after you’ve heard it a couple of times but this soundtrack is definitely worth listening to.
Starring: Hrithik Roshan, Karisma Kapoor, Jaya Bachchan
Synopsis: Fiza is the story of a young girl(Karisma Kapoor) in search of her brother, who disappeared during the communal riots of 1992-1993 in Mumbai. The film is centred on the relationship between a widowed mother, living in the hope that her son will one day return and her daughter who, fed up with living with uncertainty, decides to go in search of her brother. Movie Review: Fiza is a really powerful film and to be honest would not have been understood by the majority of the audience. Hrithik’s performance is very moving and he is ably supported by Jaya Bachchan and Karisma Kapoor in what I believe is her career best performance. The film has gotten a lot of criticism basically due to the direction. For example, in the song Aaja Mahiya, Hrithik and Neha are seen dancing in front of a Colgate billboard. However, that particular toothpaste had not been released yet, in 1993 when the song was set. Sushmita Sen adds a great performance to the film in Mehboob Mere, a wonderfully written and performed song. Good on you, Sush! Hrithik’s Tandav sequence is definitely worth watching just to see his amazing Tae Kwon Do skills. I personally really enjoyed it because it wasn’t the usual stuff that we watch in the Indian film industry. Music: Music is written by Anu Malik and are all picturised wonderfully. AR Rahman’s contribution Piya Haji Ali is a wonderfully soothing piece and watch out for Hrithik in his white shalwar as he looks out while the sun shines on his gorgeous face. Sushmita looks stunning in Mehboob Mere which is sung by the sultry Sunidhi Chauhan. Very Arabic influenced.
Starring: Hrithik Roshan, Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Preity Zinta, Sonali Kulkarni
Synopsis: In a valley of astonishing beauty, a small family lives in an idyllic house: a father, a mother, a son. They are the very picture of happiness and love. But appearances are deceptive. This pastoral landscape is the strife-torn valley of Kashmir, and the son, Altaaf, is an orphan of war who has been adopted by a policeman, Inayat Khan (Sanjay Dutt), and his wife, Neelima (Sonali Kulkarni). Altaaf is slowly recovering from the psychic wounds of seeing his parents and his young sister shot to death before his eyes by a masked man. One day, Altaaf discovers that the man he now calls "Abba" is the same masked intruder who killed his defenseless family during a firefight with militants. In that single moment of discovery, a warrior is born. Altaaf puts on the same mask that Khan wore during the fatal fight, and flees into the darkness. Ten years later, a famed guerilla fighter named Hilal Kohistani (Jackie Shroff) leads a determined band of men into the valley of Kashmir. These men are renegades who pride themselves on their distance from any other militant group or government agencies. They are completely unknown and unsupported, and so are eager to make a worldwide reputation for themselves at one stroke. This group is on a highly secret mission codenamed "Mission Kashmir," a closely-guarded plan that will change the map of the subcontinent forever. For Hilal Kohistani, this all-important end justifies any means. He is absolutely willing to sacrifice millions of human lives, feelings, love, faith. To successfully complete this mission , Hilal Kohistani needs a fearless soldier, finely -trained fighter whose deadly combat skills and burning anger will drive him unerringly to the target. Hilal Kohistani has just such a man: Altaaf (Hrithik Roshan). And so Altaaf comes back to the streets and bylanes of his childhood. He fights for Hilal Kohistani, but he is also obsessed with his own private mission : he wants to, he must kill the masked intruder who haunts his nightmares -- Inayat Khan. In Srinagar, he meets his childhood sweetheart, Sufi (Preity Zinta), who is now a vivacious television reporter. In her beauty, compassion, and optimism, Altaaf rediscovers love and hope. And yet, Altaaf is consumed by his hatred for Khan. As the countdown for Mission Kashmir ticks relentlessly closer towards an apocalypse, Altaaf and Khan engage in a duel to the death. The fate of Kashmir will depend on the outcome of their final, ferocious encounter. Will Altaaf and Khan kill each other? Will Hilal Kohistani reveal the true purpose of Mission Kashmir? Will the worshippers at the Hazratbal mosque and the Shankracharya temple still be able to pray side by side? Will Kashmiriyat -- the centuries old Kashmiri tradition of religious harmony and tolerance -- live or die. The answers lie at the heart of... Mission Kashmir. Movie Review: A powerful movie to say the least. Amazing performances from Sanjay Dutt and of course Duggu. Everybody is going on about the similarities with Fiza. I don’t deny the fact that they are similar but there is a lot of difference between the stories and the roles Hrithik plays. In Fiza he is forced to become a terrorist but in MK he is a terrorist because he wants to be. MK is set in Kashmir in modern times and Fiza is set in Mumbai in 1993. Preity, who I normally love, is really in the movie for its commercial success. However, overall the movie is great with amazing scenes of Kashmir and it really makes you cry.
Music: Music is written by Shankar, Ehsaaan and Loy. Bumbro is very Kashmiri and is such a sweet little song.

Assembling a mammoth star cast like this must've been a Herculean task. But justifying each of the characters merits the highest praise. With KABHI KHUSHI KABHIE GHAM, Karan Johar proves that KUCH KUCH HOTA HAI was no flash in the pan. With KABHI KHUSHI KABHIE GHAM, the young director confirms the fact that he is the brightest in film firmament.
