"YAADEIN is all about being in love with your family, just by adding the element of friendship," Subhash Ghai tells me, sipping a cup of hot coffee. The director is getting ready with the pre-release publicity of YAADEIN, which he describes as his most ambitious project to date. "It is, from the beginning to the end, a non-stop emotional roller coaster with a storyline you will never expect and characters you cannot forget," he says. This time around, the making of YAADEIN was more of a picnic for Ghai and his team. "It's an experience I'll always cherish. It was a picnic for us, as well as serious business when we got down to work. You can see everybody's heart and soul in every frame of the film," Ghai sounds emotional when he says this. An eagerly-awaited film, YAADEIN is all set to release next week all over. A brief character-sketch of the important characters of the film. Jackie Shroff is Raj Singh Puri, who has lived in London as middle-class man for 24 years with his beautiful wife and three wonderful daughters. Hrithik Roshan is Ronit Malhotra. Although born in a rich family, he is closest to his great friends, Uncle Raj and his three daughters, especially Isha. Kareena Kapoor is Isha Singh Puri, the youngest daughter. But she was given the heaviest emotional burden, particularly from her father as well as Ronit. Kiran Rathod is Monishka Rai, who can never forget her experiences with Ronit, who swept her off her feet within an instant. Avni Vasa is Avantika Singh Puri, the eldest daughter who is supposed to deal with every household problem, before and after her marriage, particularly those of her papa. Himani Rawat is Sania Singh Puri, the middle one, a bit of a brat. She believed in the motto, 'My life is my life', until one day when she got a shock. Supriya Karnik is Nalini Malhotra, who never got too attached to her British-born son Ronit, until one day he spoke to her with a heavy voice and said, 'Mummy...'. Anang Desai is L.K. Mahotra, Raj's best friend, Ronit's father and J.K. Malhotra's brother. They don't agree with each other, but what could he do? Amrish Puri is J.K. Malhotra, for whom all emotions and relations can be taken care of by one factor -- money. This is his belief and he doesn't care whether you agree with him or not. YAADEIN is Hrithik's fourth release and Kareena's third and its opening is expected to be phenomenal.

Yaadein is one of the most-awaited films of the year, 2001. The Subhash Ghai film started shooting on July.15, 2000. Tips has aquired the India rights as well as the International rights for the film. The music director is Anu Malik.

"I am composing the music for Subhash Ghai's Yaadein. All songs are already recorded and the film is almost nearing completion. The first time Mr. Ghai approached me, I was very excited. It's really good to work with big directors and once the film is a hit, the music automatically becomes hit. Yaadein's audio cassettes and CD's will be out in early June. Besides Yaadein, I am also composing music for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Devdas. The music is a combination of soul, heart, innocence, technology and emotion. We've mainly signed in Sonu Nigam for Hrithik's voice and for Kareena's voice, we have roped in Sunidhi Chauhan, Alka Yagnik and others. Yaadein is one of my best works and it's going to be a super-hit album," says music-director of Yaadein, Anu Malik.

"Yaadein is one of my dream project. It stars Hrithik Roshan, Kareena Kapoor, Jackie Shroff and Rati Agnihotri in main roles. The film is all set to release on July.27, 2001. I've taken Anu Malik as the music director. He is such a talented music director. As for the lyricist, it's Anand Bakshi this time. We had shot scenes of Yaadein in Mumbai, Rajasthan, Pune and others in India and ofcourse abroad places like London and so on. This gives a change in background scene during the movie which is necesarry for all movies. Yaadein is produced by Ashok Ghai. We've had lots of adventures and interesting occassions during the shooting of Yaadein which are ofcourse unforgettable. The movie revolves around three sisters and Hrithik as the brother. Jackie Shroff and Rati Agnihotri play Kareena Kapoor's parents. All of them are child-hood friends. As for more, well you have to wait for the movie to release," says director, Subhash Ghai.

"Yaadein is my 4th release. It's pretty good to be in the Bollywood industry. I've always wanted to work with top directors and Subhash Ghai is one among them. His latest hit, Taal is mind-blowing and I know Yaadein will also click in music as well at the box-office. This is my first original romantic film. Ofcourse, Kaho Naa...Pyaar Hai was there, but I don't consider it as a romantic film. As for Fiza & Mission Kashmir, they were action and had national-consciousness in them. Yaadein is about happy and sad moments and it is a musical film. I & Kareena have put a lot of efforts for the film and it ought to do well," adds Hrithik Roshan to the conversation..

"Yaadein is already insured for 14 crores and that makes the movie to do well. Yaadein revolves around me & Hrithik Roshan. I'm playing the main lead opposite Hrithik Roshan for the first time. The movie has been under-production for 8 months or more now and it intends to be completed by early July and the music release will be held in July mostly either at London or New Delhi. Subhash Ghai has been really friendly to me at the sets. We had a lot of adventurous circumstances and it was fun and exciting for all my shoot-outs till now. As for Hrithik Roshan, well he is not a boasting person. He is a really great guy. Okay, now I know what you want to know. No, I am not having an affair with Hrithik Roshan. I just take him as a friend and if we have 3 and one more films together, then what's the big deal. My other releases this year are Ajnabi, Ashoka & Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai along with Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Ghum," says Kareena Kapoor.
