Annual Production Rate
Here's how it works.... Instead of accepting the mandated 365-day defaults, edit the Annual-PR. Time-based
figures to its right will then self-adjust to meet the new rate. To return the default values, simply click the Calculate
button.
Should the edited Annual-PR require more than 1 year or less than 1 crop to produce, the simulation will display >1Yr (greater than 1 Year) or <1Cr (less than 1 Crop). Below is an illustrated example (in the form you can click the Insert Examples button for supporting data or to experiment in real time).

The grower in the example is comparing two of his own crops, and was more than pleased with his former 5.0 lb annual yield (line1). The two default simulations on top show his new garden strategy on line2 is producing 0.6 lb more annually, with fewer repeat crops, fewer labor hours, and more risk.
However, what he really wants to know is how much better his long-term strategy would look if he still produced his original 5 lb annual yield, but with the better performance of garden #2.
To personalize his simulation he typed 5 into the white Edit box. By doing so he has told the calculator he wants garden #2 to produce at his desired rate of 5 lbs/year (instead of the mandated 5.6), and to simulate what it would take for that garden to perform at that annual rate. As you can see from the personalized simulation, it would take yet fewer repeat crops than the default, and fewer hours of work. And because the garden doesn't need to be in operation 365 days a year, his annual risk is now lower as well.
