Chae sat on the floor of her room desperately trying to forget the past events. Her attention then turned to a picture of her and Jinhwan.. in happier times. She shut her eyes tightly as flashbacks of what happened merely hours ago came back to her.
"Chae? What's wrong?"
"Nothing oppa."
"Don't tell me nothing is wrong when you're crying your eyes out. Was it a guy?"
"Nae."
"Okay, was it a guy you like?"
"Nae."
"Did he break your heart or something?"
"Nae."
"I'll get him for you. No one's gonna hurt my little girl."
"Oppa, it's too late. You already broke my heart."
"What do you mean? Because I didn't say hi to you? Mi an hae..."
"Anie, it wasn't that. Hwannie oppa, you broke my heart because I'm in love with you."
"Damn you Jinhwan," Chae cursed as she shakily stood up. "Damn you for making me care about you so much... Damn you for making me fall in love with you."
Chae desperately wanted another drink. Four shots of Tequila was not gonna make her forget this.
"If only I didn't go.. none of this would've happened..." she scolded herself as she slowly walked downstairs. "If only..."
As she reached the bottom of the stairs she looked onto the nearby glass table where sticker pictures of her and her now ex-friend (and now Jinhwan's ex-girlfriend) Rebbekka lay scattered.
"If only she hadn't shown up... none of this would've happened," she said more confidently as she looked at all the pictures.
The more she stared at each of the pictures, the more betrayed she felt.. not only by Rebekka, but by Jinhwan as well. The fact that Jinhwan, her true love, hurt her so deeply, was more than she could bear.
But he could'nt have did it purposely...
...could he?
"Damn you both," Chae muttered, feelings of satisfaction and hurt passing over her as she said those three little words.
Her cellphone then rang. She picked it up hesitantly...looking at it and hoping.. just hoping... it wasn't him.
"Yeo bo seh yo?"
"Chae are you ok? You just ran off on us.." Chae relaxed some as she heard Shina's worried voice.
"Nae, I'm fine. I'm sorry for worrying you guys."
"Do you need anything? The party's kinda dead now.. me and the gang are about to bounce, and watch some movies and stuff. Do you wanna hang out with us or do you wanna just chill by yourself?"
"I just think I'll chill here for awhile and try and sleep off this tequila."
"Haha, ok. You take care and I'll call you tomorrow ok?"
"Ok Shina.. thanx for everything."
"What are friends for? Seeya!" *click*
Chae hung up the phone feeling somewhat better. Then her gaze fell upon the sticker pictures and she frowned again.
"Indeed... what are friends for?" She mumbled quietly to herself. As she thought about the events that previously happened. She found herself more confused.
JinHwan stood up as he saw Rebekka and Teddy get really close. He started to walk over to them, since he couldn't stand it anymore. Wasn't Teddy supposed to be his friend?
"Give me a chance to do this." Teddy pulled Rebekka in for a soft kiss. He could feel her react with a little surprise as he sweetly used his tongue to do all the talking. Rebekka felt herself melt, she hadn't been kissed like that in a such a long time. She went along with it until she heard an angry voice from behind.
"So? Teddy and Rebekka? I didn't know you two were an item." JinHwan angrily forced the words out of his mouth.
Teddy held Rebekka even closer to him. "And so what if we are dongseng?"
"Rebekka? I thought we had something." JinHwan faced her.
Rebekka couldn't find any words. She was a little confused. She had found herself falling for Teddy the whole time she was supposed to be liking JinHwan. "Mi an hae yo Jinhwan." She stepped away from Teddy.
"Whatever. You're supposed to be my friend Teddy. But I guess girls come first with you, don't they?" JinHwan felt his rage building. He tried to keep himself from punching Teddy right in the face.
Teddy didn't know what to say, so he said the truth. "This is for your own good dongseng."
JinHwan laughed harshly. "Yeah right. Hurting me for my own good? That's the biggest load of shit I ever heard."
"You don't understand." Teddy sighed with desperation, trying to find the right words.
"Leave me alone, Teddy. I don't want to hear your excuses."
Chae found herself more angry at Rebekka and Teddy than Jinhwan himself. His pain after being betrayed by his friend and girlfriend also hurt her. Although she loved Jinhwan, she only wanted for him to be happy, even if he wasn't happy with her.
"But why did he kiss me?" Chae wondered aloud. So many things happened so fast and she wasn't ready to face them.. not just yet..
"Hwannie, stop. I can't... you're making it worse."
"But Chae, I want this."
"No, I want this. You just did it because you're confused. I know that you're in love with Rebekka."
"I need sleep..." she mumbled as she fell onto the couch. She soon fell asleep.. the confusing night still haunting her.
