CHAPTER-6
BREAK IN?
{A/N: Sorry about the tardiness, I'm going to try to update sooner for know on. Enjoy : -)}
A woman sat at a desk. It looked like if she were doing some calculations. She had brown curly hair and Madison thought she was very pretty.
Madison was standing in front of her but the woman didn’t seem to notice her. The woman stood up and walked over to a table with beakers and bottles, full of liquids, on it. She poured some blue liquid into a beaker that already had green liquid. It started to bubble and turned white.
BOOM!
There was an explosion.
There was a lot of green light and….
Madison woke up with a start. She was sweating and trembling. She looked up at the ceiling trying to figure out why this dream had scared her so much.
She turned on her side and tried to go back to sleep.
I might as well get up a little while, she thought. She went to the common room and sat facing the fireplace.
“Hmmm…”
I wonder if that dream meant anything, she thought. She figured that it had been caused from all the new things she had seen during the day.
I hope I can get up early tomorrow, she thought. She looked at the fire absent-mindedly and sighed.
She was starting to doze off when she heard a little noise behind her. She turned to see if anyone was there but saw no one. She turned back around and fell asleep thinking about her dad.

Madison didn’t know what time it was or how long she had been asleep. She opened her eyes and decided she should go back to her room before the boys got up. It was still dark; she knocked into a sofa and stubbed her toe.
“Ouch” she moaned, as she jumped on one foot, trying to rub her toe.
She was walking through the hallway heading to her room, when she heard voices. Who could be up? She wondered.
There was a group of girls gathered a couple doors down from her room.
“Excuse me,” she said.
They looked at her funny and Madison heard them whisper to each other.
“Is that her?”
“I hope that the person who broke in isn’t still here,” another girl said.
“Don’t be silly, no one could break into Hogwarts”
What are they talking about? Madison thought, as she pushed throgh the crowd.
Scarlet was standing in the doorway of their dormitory.
“Hey what’s all the commotion about?”
“Madison!” Scarlet hugged her. ”You’re all right”
“Of course I’m alright. What’s all this about?” Madison asked, narrowing her eyes.
“Madison Other!” An angry voice called. “Where have you been? You gave us quite a fright, girl!”
Madison turned to see Professor McGonagall standing at the foot of her bed.
“I… I couldn’t sleep so I got up and went to the common room, but I fell asleep on the couch.” She said looking around at her things, which were thrown about the room. Her luggage had been emptied out too. After a moment of silence, Madison asked: “What happened?”
“Well it seems that someone has gone through your things, looking for something. At first we thought that you had been kidnapped when we didn’t find you in your bed.” Professor McGonagall said. “Check if anything is missing, then report to my office.” She looked around the room one last time and left.

Madison and Scarlet picked everything up as they were talking.
“Who do you think did this?”
“Don’t know,” she shrugged. “I don’t know anyone besides you and Jonathan.” Madison said. “Well it seems there’s nothing missing,”
“Come on. I’ll walk you to McGonagall’s office,” Scarlet said.
The door opened as soon as Madison had knocked.
“Come in Madison” Professor McGonagall said. “Please, sit down”
“Well, nothing seems to be missing Professor.” Madison said as she sat down.
Professor McGonagall sighed and walked toward the window. She turned to look at Madison after a while, as if to say something. Then turned back around as if she were contemplating on whether to say it.
“Who could have….?” Madison broke the silence.
“I don’t know” Professor McGonagall interrupted. “Go have breakfast before we go to Diagon Alley”

Madison went back to Gryffindor tower. She met up with Scarlet and both girls went down to the Great Hall for breakfast. There were only a few girls at the Gryffindor table sitting in the corner looking extremely tired.
“I’m so sleepy,” Scarlet whined. She looked at her watch. “It’s going to be six. Class doesn’t start for two more hours.”
She pushed her plate of eggs and bacon out of the way, folded her arms and put her head down.
“So go back to sleep.”
“How can I? What if, who ever or what ever, that went through your things comes back. Oh, no, I’m not going back up there alone.”
“What time did you even wake up?”
Scarlet lifted her head and looked at Madison.
“I think it was aboouuut….four, maybe four thirty,” Scarlet said. “You know, I don’t even know what woke me up. Do you think he or,” she paused “it … could have been there?” She said with a worried look on her face. “When I saw that you weren’t in your bed and your clothes were thrown all over the place, I didn’t know what to think. So I went to McGonagall. I guess we didn’t see you in the sofa because we never turned on any lights as we hurried off to the dormitories.” She took a deep breath. “Hey why did you get up?” She asked.
“I had a bad dream, then I couldn’t get back to sleep”
“Oh.”
They ate their breakfast in silence, each knowing that the other was thinking about the same thing.
“Well, I’ll see you later. McGonagall is taking me to Diagon Alley, before class starts, so that I can buy my supplies.”
“Okay, I’ll see you at lunch. Bye.”
