After the battle with Vegeta, Son Gokou, Son Gohan, and Kuririn are taken to a local hospital for recooperation. After a long discussion about the dragonballs of Namek and how to get there. Before they know it Mr. Popo arrives to inform them of an old spaceship used by Kami-sama on his journey to Earth centuries ago. The group picks Buruma for her mechanical abilities to go with Popo and find the ship. After some light recovery, Kuririn and Gohan decide to go to Namek with Bulma. Unfortunatly our hero Son Gokou is too badly hurt to travel. The Z trio take off to namek! On the way they have a mysterious run in with an invisible spaceship (no im not smoking ;). While exploring the odd ship, they are ambushed by a bunch of punk kids on the run. The punks believe that the trio are working for a space tyrant named Frieza. Son Gohan and Kuririn try to explain that they do not work for Freiza, but the punks refuse to believe and still plan to execute them. Before anything else happens, a meteor shower begins to come down on the ship. Son Gohan, Kuririn, and Bulma help the ship through the shower thus proving their good intentions. The three then leave with the blessing of the punks.

The next stop on the DBZ universe tour is a strange planet somewhere. Our heros land thinking the planet is Namek. They crash land and fall unconcious. When they awaken they are greeted by two individuals who look Namek-jin, they are greeted and begin to converse. The trio try to tell them why they have come but with supposed telekenetic powers the Namek-jin already know. With the help of their new "friends" Son Gohan, Kuririn, and Bulma begin a hunt for the Dragonballs. Six balls are gathered and on the way to the seventh Son Gohan starts to notice something strange about the area. Knowing that their secret may be found out, the Namek-jin transform into their true selves, Pirate Aliens! The aliens tell the 3 they crash landed there years ago and now were going to leave with Namek-jin spaceship being flown by our heros. Before they get a chance to react Kuririn and Son Gohan are trapped by strange monsters as the aliens kidnap Bulma. Escaping from the monsters, Gohan and Kuririn rush over in the nick of time, kicking the snot out of the two aliens. The Z team leaves the planet and is off to the REAL Namek.

Elsewhere on Frieza Planet No. 79 (you would think Frieza would pick a more creative name) Vegeta's spaceship lands. Soldiers come out and help Vegeta into a Regeneration Chamber. With his health returned Vegeta learns that Frieza also is on Namek! With revenge boiling inside of him Vegeta swears to beat Frieza to the Drgonballs and get revenge on Kakarotto (Son Gokou) and the rest of the earth. Vegeta then flies off toward Namek.

As Bulma, Son Gohan, and Kuririn arrive on Namek and begin to explore they see another spaceship landing not to far away, it's Vegeta! The three cringe in terror as another ship like it lands behind Vegeta's. The other ship is Kui a "rival" of Vegeta. Kui confronts Vegeta as he leaves his ship, Vegeta makes quick work of him. Elsewhere, Vegeta's Ki blast is detected by Frieza's henchmen, using the same "scouters" as before. Frieza has begun to terrorize Namek-jin villages looking for the dragonballs, and has already found 4!

The evil Frieza is regarded as the stongest being in the universe (this is soon to change, enter SSJ ;-). Frieza's two henchmen, Dodoria and Zarbon begin to attack the villagers, Kuririn who is hiding on a cliff with Son Gohan witnesses how evil Frieza and his men actually are. The two watch in horror as the alien monsters rip apart the Namek-jin looking for the dragonball. Frieza then begins to threaten the Namek-jin children's lives. Among the children is Dende (a main character from here on out) Driven by anger and newly found hate for Frieza Son Gohan and Kuririn go to help. The Pink marshmellow of Frieza's henchmen, Dodoria goes to kill the kids, but gets knocked away by Gohan. They manage to escape with Dende, but are now being chased by Dodoria! The chase comes down to a wire, but someone interferes, its Vegeta. Now twice as strong as before Vegeta easily destroys Dodoria, but not before hearing that it was Frieza that destroyed Planet Vegeta. Vegeta unforgivingly kills Dodoria anyway, and flies off again.

Vegeta's power has dramatically increased, and along with it is now able to detect power levels. With his new power he easily finds out that Frieza has now successfully captured five dragonballs, knowing he cannot defeat Frieza yet, Vegeta goes hunting for the other two balls. Vegeta reasons that if he captures just one of the dragonballs, Freeza will be unable to gather all the dragonballs needed to make a wish. With this new plan, Vegeta heads off to find a Namek-jin village to steal a dragonball. After eliminating the village, he hides the dragonball underwater . As Vegeta flies off he encounters Frieza's other henchman, Zarbon. They begin to fight and they seem to have the same power. The green goon now transforms and bitchslaps Vegeta. Because of Vegeta's knowledge of one the remaining dragonballs Zarbon does not kill Vegeta, he instead takes him back to Frieza's ship to recooperate and then reveal the location.

Frieza has now become desperate and has summoned his Ginyu Squardron to help collect the remaining dragonballs, the Ginyu are an incredibly powerful force who have conquered planet after planet. Vegeta regains his strength in the recovery chamber and destroys it along with any guards. Vegeta makes a last chance plan and distracts Frieza and Zarbon, then goes after the dragonballs. Vegeta successfully steals them and gets off the ship unseen. Meanwhile Bulma discovers the dragonball Vegeta left behind with the Dragon Radar. Vegeta encounters Gohan but spares him because he is in a hurry to retrieve the dragonball hid underwater, unaware that Gohan has it. During all this Kuririn has arrived at the elder Namek-jin's house with Dende and has received a "hidden power" within him. With his newfound power Kuririn races back to meet Bulma and Gohan, with the elder's dragonball!
