The Three Cental Channel Access Points have been designated as Ren 19, Ren 12, and Ren 6.
These designations are merely suggestive - a means of describing the approximate location of the Shen, Qi, and Jing access points.
The actual energetic point location is always changing. We can determine the precise point location(s) with the use of an electroacupuncture instrument that has an electronic point detection circuit.
The instrument is set to "Point Location." The patient holds a metallic grounding device (one pole of the circuit) in one hand while the practitioner moves a probe (the second pole of the circuit) over the skin in the general area of the acupoint being sought.
The GSR (Galvanic Skin Resistance) is less at the location of an acupoint. Thus a small amount more of the electrical current flows through the circuit when the exact point is contacted, and the instrument lets you know by emiting a Beep !, or a higher tone is sounded, or a needle in a meter rises sharply to a higher position.
Ideally, the direct method of acupoint location for Source Acupuncture remains that of viewing them directly in the etheric energy field (aura). However, with many (most?) practitioners being unable to see this energy, we find the preferred method to be detection through Energetic Sensation as perceived in the palm of the hand.

Many people cannot see the energy . . .
but everyone can feel it !We want you to find the Exact Energetic Location(s) of Ren 19, Ren 12, and Ren 6.
You could therefore pass your finger over the patient's skin in the general area of the textbook location of one of these points :
You will be anticipating a sensation in your finger when it moves directly over the active (energetic) point center.
The sensation will be one of Heat, or a Tingling Sensation, or of Magnetism.
But it usually works out Better when you pass your entire palm over the patient's midline in the area(s) of these points.
You should anticipate a sensation in your palm when your Pericardium-6 is directly over the energetic point center.
The sensation will be one of Heat, or a Tingling Sensation, or of Magnetism.
The "Ren-12" point located in this manner (see animated diagram, above) is the SOMA-ZERO point of Source Acupuncture that ends up integrating all our efforts. See Scroll 11, Holistic Protocol, for further insight.
