* Ivory's Show *

Ivory's become known as the Federation's resident "Big Mouth," who's never at a loss for words. And, that's just fine with her. "I love it. It should be an award, actually," she says. "I'm always honored when I'm handed the RAW or Smackdown microphone."

"I don't think any woman in the Federation has the total package like me," Ivory says. "Actually, I'm dying to meet the one who does. Boy, what fun we're finally going to have!"

Regardless of Ivory's verbal gymnastics and constant gibes, none of the Federation's top women has been able to shut her up for long. Ivory's title reigns as World Wrestling Federation's Women's Champion are among the longest ever in Federation history, making many wonder just who can keep her from the gold.

So, why is it that no one has been able to defeat Ivory on a consistent basis? What exactly is it that has enabled her to hold on to the Women's title for such long periods of time? For Ivory, the answer is simple: versatility.

"I can do anything the World Wrestling Federation expects of the women here--except I can do it better. There's no other female talent who can do the same," says Ivory. "I can wrestle; I can slop around in gravy; I can wrestle old ladies; I can go hardcore... And I can even put on an evening gown. I'm here to bring prestige to the Women's Championship."

But Ivory can be beat. She's most prone to being defeated when things don't go her way. If the referee isn't calling a match how she thinks he should, or if she's heckled one too many times by someone in the crowd, Ivory has shown that she can lose her concentration and become distracted.

And, at times, she can let her ego get the best of her in her quest for attention. She took the Fabulous Moolah for granted, and it cost her the title in what many Federation fans considered a major upset. Though she later regained the championship belt, the damage had already been done: Ivory had been defeated by a woman more than twice her age. More shocking, though, was her Armageddon loss in an "Evening Gown Match" to, of all people, Miss Kitty. Miss Kitty walked away the new Women's Champion.

Putting the losses to the Fabulous Moolah and Miss Kitty aside, Ivory has shown a remarkable tendency to rise to the occasion in big title match. To her credit, she holds victories over Luna, Jacqueline and Tori, just to name a few Federation women who've gone down to defeat.

Though these women also may hold victories over Ivory, none have been able to beat her when it counted most--when the Women's Championship was on the line. Ivory's ability to pull deep down from her reserves has kept her on top.

So, what must other Federation women do in order to beat her?

First, any Federation Superstar who takes on Ivory is facing more than just the Women's Champion; she's also battling a master psychologist and strategist. An opponent must avoid falling prey to the mind games that Ivory has planned for her. Ivory has an uncanny ability to size up an opponent, and she'll use that knowledge to try and rouse her rival through name-calling and taunts. If her opponent gets too caught up in trying to beat her up for the verbal insults, instead of wrestling, Ivory will best her. She knows what to say, how to say it, and when to say it. And any woman who seriously wants to defeat Ivory must realize this.

Second, an opponent has to contend with Ivory's wrestling arsenal. She has an array of moves that can dazzle even many of her Federation male counterparts. One blink of an eye or one small miscalculation can prove detrimental to a challenger. Ivory's always scheming, always planning how to capitalize on an opponent's slips.

Third, if Ivory is to be beaten, her challenger mustn't get too caught up in listening to the fans. Looking for fan approval has cost many of Ivory's opponents matches in the past. Ivory couldn't care less about what the fans think of her--she purposely incites them against her. "I can't look for fan approval; it's not my job," says Ivory. "I'm never going to win a popularity contest with the fans. They don't know talent when they see it!"

So, a rake down the back of an opponent with her nails or a pull of the hair is perfectly okay for her. This is because Ivory knows the fans will boo her anyway. By not seeking fan approval, Ivory is able to unleash an arsenal of villainy, while her opponent may feel restricted in this regard.

Just how long Ivory will be able to remain the Federation's woman to beat is anybody's guess. One thing's for sure: beating this purple-attired vixen will prove no easy task.
