NEWS AND UPDATES 09.25.03 Also moved site to a new location, so please updated your bookmarks! 08.19.03 08.18.03 07.09.03 Emmy winner Holland Taylor has been tapped to star opposite Charlie Sheen and Jon Cryer in the new CBS comedy "Two and a Half Men." Additionally, Taylor has joined the cast of Gold Circle Films' romantic comedy "Something Borrowed," toplined by Debra Messing and Dermot Mulroney. "Two and a Half Men," from Warner Bros. Television, Chuck Lorre Prods. and the Tannenbaum Co., centers on a wealthy bachelor (Sheen) whose life is turned upside down when his brother (Cryer) and nephew move into his beach house. Taylor will play the brothers' socialite mother, replacing Blythe Danner, who played the role in the pilot. Before starting on "Two and a Half Men," scheduled for the Monday 9:30 p.m. slot, Taylor will film "Borrowed," which begins shooting in London this month. The film, which Clare Kilner is directing, focuses on a young woman (Messing) who returns to her parents' London home for her sister's wedding and hires a male escort (Mulroney) to pose as her new boyfriend, fearing she has to confront the ex-fiance who dumped her two years before. Taylor will play Messing's mother. Taylor won an Emmy for her role as Judge Roberta Kittleson on David E. Kelley's ABC legal drama "The Practice." She most recently co-starred on CBS' comedy series "Baby Bob." On the big screen, Taylor next appears in "Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over," in which she reprises her role as the grandmother.
