DODGER STADIUM
2000

June 13, 2000
Leading off the eight against reliever Matt Mantei.  The Dodgers' first baseman turned on a 2-1 pitch, lining it into the seats in right field for his 229th homerun.

Eric Karros passed Ron Cey, who was in attendance, to become the franchise's all time leader in homeruns since the team relocated to Los Angeles from Brooklyn in 1958.  Karros, in his 10th season with the Dodgers, received an extended standing ovation from the crowd.
