Jesus, Our Lord and Savior
written by
George Edward McGoon
my great uncle

Jesus, our Lord and Savior,
the anchor of my soul!
Yes, he is my Lord and Savior
and he loves me so.
So bless our Lord and Savior
for he has died for you.
He extends his love and mercy,
for he has told me so!

I look all around me daily
and the beauty I behold
is for our strength and comfort
and makes me love him so!
I count my many blessings
as these beauties I behold.
It swells my heart within me
and it humbles me so.

I'll confess him on the mountain!
I'll praise him on the plain!
That he is my Lord and Savior
and I am born again!
I cannot live without him
he sets my steps aright.
He is my love and beacon,
all beautiful and all bright!

So bless your Lord and Savior.
We know he is the one who died,
who died from all his sufferings
that he might make us one.
I never could deny him,
for he has loved me so.
Then let my days in transit
be lived to him in praise.

His spirit is abiding,
a comfort to my soul!
So bless our Lord and Savior,
bless him day and night!
For he is love and beauty,
all comfort and all light.
He will take us to his mansion,
so beautiful, so bright!

So let us bless and praise him.
Rejoice with those above,
to a life thats never-ending,
in that glorious heaven above!
(chorus)
