On Sept 11, 2001 a mass murder organization crashed a hijacked airliner into a World Trade Center tower. New York's finest responded to the emergency.
While rescue operations were in progress, the mass murderers crashed another hijacked airliner into the other tower.
Then the rescue was life threatening to the rescuers. They continued to do their jobs. Many citizens came to the rescue of their co-workers and strangers.
Then the unthinkable happened. The first tower collapsed followed soon after by the collapse of the second tower.
The collapse of the towers killed 2740 of the rescuers and civilians. In all 343 firefighters, 23 police officers, 75 port authority officers and 14 Emergency Services officers lost their lives. Their dedication and sacrifice has not gone from the memory of those rescued or those who were watching the news reports. The murderers hijacked two additional planes. One crashed into the pentagon. The other crashed when the passengers took on the hijackers, thus saving our capitol building. In all 2973 Americans died that fateful day. We can never stand by again in hopes these killers will leave us alone. Trying to talk to this type of person is useless. The only thing they understand is brute force. We must seek out terrorists where ever they might hide and destroy them before they destroy us.
