April 9, 2008 - Wednesday

Sunny.

An okay, but quiet day. I slept in this morning, then finally got up and got dressed. I received a delivery this morning. Lots of rootbeer for the summer. Yeah.

I had a very quiet day. I thought about going out but didn't. I did get a call from my husband to say he'd be very late. There was going to be a drinking party where he was, and he had to drive the people home afterwards. He didn't expect to be home before 9pm.

I did laundry and then in a fit of boredom decided to clean up a corner of the kitchen. I've noticed that my husband has a nasty habit of emptying a bottle and then just leaving it lying or standing around. Now, I'm not Japanese, so I never bother to look at his weird bottles of stuff, so I didn't realize until today how many empties he had lying around. Not to mention empty booze bottles. I rinsed a bunch and threw them in the recycle bag.

I watched the repeat of the Grammy Awards. It was okay. I feel very out of touch. I'd never heard of some of the artists. Natalie Cole was there. I got to see the Tina Turner bit. She's still fab, but maybe she shouldn't have worn such a skintight costume. Mind you, she looked pretty good for how old is she now?? After it was over I watched 3 or 4 Corner Gas episodes. They were all pretty funny.

Fumihiko called me before 10 to say he was done, and got home right around 10. We went out for dinner to Cocos. I had pizza and he had a burger and rice, plus a bit of pizza. We were both hungry. We came home via the grocery store. I'm going to make soup tomorrow and cook dinner too after work.

Then, home. We spent a quiet evening at home. Fumihiko has just gone off to bed, and frankly, I'm tired so I think I'll go soon too. Tomorrow I'm back at work. Wish me luck!
