Cool and rainy. Horrible weather!
Today was a pretty good day. I got up this morning and showered, then I checked email. I was a bit worried as Fumihiko had gone to visit his mother and had forgotten to take his cell phone. We didn't have any food in the house, and I wanted to leave here at 11 to have brunch somewhere. Would he be back in time? The answer was yes! He came in right on time.
We had a quick bite in Gusto, then Fumihiko dropped me off at my school. I checked my set up, and then taught my two lessons of the day. They both went quite well. After the second lesson I cleaned up, changed and called Fumihiko. He came and got me and we went home first. He wanted to go and see Rocky Balboa, being that he's a huge Rocky fan. We went home to check the movie schedule. Well, we'd just missed one show, and the next one didn't come on until well after 9. What to do?
After a bit of net surfing, we went for dinner. No big whoop, just a local eatery. After that, we drove out to the mall. We had coffee at Seattle's Best, then went to the movie.
I mentioned that Fumihiko is a big fan of Rocky. For the second of his birthdays since we got married I gave him the boxed set of Rocky DVDs and they were greatly appreciated. Many was the morning when I'd get up to find hubby contendedly watching one of the films on the telly. I on the other hand, am not a fan. I've seen Rocky, liked it, but pretty much haven't seen any of the others. However, I loved Rocky Balboa tonight. It had a great spirit about it, and also shows a huge love for the character and his past. If you've ever enjoyed the Rocky movies, then this one is worth seeing.
When the movie finished, we came home via the grocery store. Someone I know had a hankering for yakitori. Hubby got some, brought it home, and cooked it. He ate a few and promptly fell asleep on the couch. I watched 2 of my CSI shows, but refrained from watching Grey's Anatomy until hubby is awake. Wasn't that nice of me?
And that was my day. I feel so much better now that almost the only remnant of my cold is my croaky voice. I have a few more days of strained voice ahead of me. And worse than that, no karaoke until I'm better. It's just not fair!
Anyway, it is now so late that it's almost time to get up, so I'm going to end this. Night night!
